Vital Currents is a celebration of form, movement, and the quiet significance of blood cells. Designed for BrioHealth Solutions, this installation makes a nod to the role of technology in healthcare through a flowing composition of 186 unique 3D-printed cells.
Using parametric design software, we mapped the organic flow of these cells across a base surface, defining their arrangement on the canvas. While each cell is positioned randomly, together they create a unified, cohesive structure—greater than the sum of its parts.
Subtly reflective of their surroundings, each cell maintains a rich yet understated presence. A custom LED lighting system, hidden within the frame, brings the piece to life—casting dynamic waves of color and movement that seamlessly integrate BrioHealth’s brand language.

Technology is at the heart of modern healthcare, and Vital Currents reflects that through both concept and fabrication. We chose 3D printing as a production method not only for its roots in technological innovation but also for its efficiency—allowing us to produce 186 unique cells without the waste of traditional molding. In a way, we simply grew them, like real cells.

Each 3D-printed cell features a precisely angled ball joint that determines its orientation, along with a printed indicator marking its proper alignment. During installation, a custom mapping system ensured precise placement, guiding each cell to its designated spot. The result? A seamless, flowing composition where every element works together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.

We’re excited to share Vital Currents: A glimpse into the unseen world of life’s most fundamental building blocks. ✨

Inspired by the profound role of individual blood cells, this work celebrates their beauty, function, and essential contributions to sustaining life. Through a series of 3D-printed “Cells” crafted from silk-inspired material, we explore the dynamic relationship between color, form, and light—where every shift in light reveals a new rhythm, a gentle flow across the canvas.

Did you know that the Gorilla Baby cord controller started out as a rock? A rock with slots cut into it to be precise.

Naturally it evolved into a mid-century inspired piece of furniture for your desk. 🦍

The Facet table holds a special place in our hearts as it marked our first collaboration with the design teams at , leading to many more exciting projects together.
This table features a unique component from a decommissioned robot at Gingko’s labs. We were tasked with designing a base to complement the milled aluminum piece. After receiving approval for that initial design, we finally had the opportunity to view the component firsthand—and quickly made the decision to completely rethink the base. This “last-minute” pivot ended up being the right decision. The table was completed with a ½” tempered, beveled glass top, which beautifully showcases the core of the design—the robot component— ultimately making the table a focal point in the space.
