Not sure how I even had the energy tonight, but I managed to get out for an hour and get some night photography in at the college. I'm just glad I didn't hit a deer on the way home!

Took a moment to relax and get in some fine dining at Hell's Kitchen at the DC Wharf. I’ll tell you now, an Old Fashioned doesn’t get much better than this! The staff was impeccable as always, the crab cacio e pepe was to die for, and this cocoa Old Fashioned….. ooooowee!!! Head on up there and tell me what you think about it.

Chesapeake Focus is proud to debut the complete fine-art photography collection of Andre Smith — 28 pieces, launching all at once!

From the Chesapeake's wild edges — eagles banking over the Bay, herons in the marsh, ducks on still water — to the roar of the airshow flight line: the U.S. Navy Blue Angels locked in tight diamond, the French Patrouille de France streaming blue-white-and-red, a silver Cold War T-33 Shooting Star, a Coast Guard rescue demo mid-hoist, and the USAF Viper on a wingtip.

Every piece produced as archival framed canvas, made in the USA.

Family, friends, and all gracious supporters,

My photography is live and available as fine art prints on Chesapeake Focus — 28 pieces, all releasing today. Wildlife and aviation: two subjects I came to appreciate through the same lens, requiring patience for the right moment.

After my service in the Marine Corps, I was able to find that feeling of excitement in the aviation community and the peace of being outdoors in Southern Maryland. The marshes along the Patuxent, Mallards lifting at dawn, Eagles above the Potomac. I found myself using the same disciplines at the flight line watching the Blue Angels dance through formations the way I watched a flock; waiting for geometry and light to align. Recognizing that perfect moment about to happen, and dialing everything in to freeze that moment in time; that’s what I live for. It is what truly drives me to pursue more challenging situations and to achieve even more vivid, emotionally captivating images.

8 wildlife pieces and 20 from the flight line are available. Chesapeake Focus provides archival prints in multiple sizes, with framing options. Limited Editions of 50 are available in both collections, numbered with a Certificate of Authenticity.

I am so grateful to the Chesapeake Focus team for the partnership, and I love and appreciate all of YOU and the support you have given me throughout my journey of cultivating my passion and continuously striving to improve my artwork.
Thank you! 📸💖

We had an awesome time at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River Air Show with U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Don't forget Saturday and Sunday are open to the public. Come on out and enjoy some super-talented aviators and their machines with the family!
