A delicate, branching pattern spreads across the sand of an Icelandic riverbed, looking almost like the limbs of a bare tree reaching out in different directions. Fine channels split and weave across the surface, creating a natural network of lines that branch and intersect. Shaped by the movement and retreat of the river, the pattern gently follows the path of the water, leaving its trace in the sand. It feels almost as though the river has drawn its own quiet sketch across the landscape.
