Turn up your volume! Just me and Mama doing our thing ❤️. I literally sat there and watched her in this position for close to 25 minutes before she made her move. She showed lots of patience while the Coots got closer and closer before the pounce. I followed her after her successful hunt and she led me straight to her babies where I got to videotape and photograph them for about 45 minutes. It was a great day 🙂. Please feel free to share if you like.😉.

Meep Meep....Most of you probably "fondly remember" Wile E Coyote and the Roadrunner cartoons from back in the day:). Here's a couple of photos taken out at Sweetwater of the real life duo ;). And no, the coyote still has not caught the roadrunner. Please feel free to share if you like ;).

Here are some photos of the giant rattlesnake sculpture that was recently placed just off the side of the road at Rattlesnake Pass between Continental Ranch & White Stallion Ranch/Saguaro Bloom in Marana AZ. I'm not sure if they have named it or not but I'm calling him TACO!! He stands around 8' tall and has amazing detail as you can see. Please feel free to share if you like;).

So check this out!!! Earlier this year, I was heading out to photography the Caracaras, when I drove past what I originally thought was a large raven sitting in a mesquite tree on the side of the road. As I drove past it I could clearly see this was a large hawk of some type. I turned around and pulled over to get a few shots before it flew off. It turns out this was a very rare sighting of a Common Black Hawk (Buteogallus anthracinus). This is the first time I've ever seen or heard of one of these so I looked it up. According to the web and birding sites, it is estimated that there are les than 400 mating pairs left in the entire United States. Right place at the right time!!! Please feel free to share if you like ;).

Here's a cool series of 3 Caracara falcon chicks patiently waiting for mom or dad to drop in with something to eat. All three have successfully fledged and are hopefully making the Arizona Sonoran Desert their permanent home. Taken just west of Tucson Arizona. Please feel free to share if you like ;).

I took this photo a while back in Gilbert Arizona. Just a Great Blue Heron out spear fishing for its breakfast 😉. Fun fact, when they spear a fish it can be as fast as 50 - 75 milliseconds, which is about 0.05 - 0.08 of a second so don't blink or you might miss it 😉. Please feel free to share if you like!

So here's a then and now of some bobcats babies I've been following since June 24th. On my way to work that day, a friend called me to let me know that the mama bobcat, that had been MIA, had just showed up for the first time in 3 months with her 3 new babies. Mama did the same thing last year and then showed with two male babies. One of those male babies was killed by some coyotes a couple of months ago and the other one is still hanging around the area. Mom and these 3 new babies are all doing well. The video is from June 24th of this year, the first day they showed up. The photo is from Sept 19th. As you can see, they are looking very healthy. Please feel free to share if you like;).

So this is a photo I took of the weather phenomenon that mirrors and inspired the imagery of the Arizona State flag. This is a formation of crepuscular rays which is represented by the top half of the Arizona state flag. Back in 1910, two years before Arizona became "State 48", Colonel Charles Wilfred Harris designed the flag for a territory r***e team. He directly channeled this stunning atmospheric display into the top half of the flag:

* THE 13 RADIATING RAYS: The 13 alternating rays mirror the geometric bands of crepuscular light fanning out across the horizon. They also pay homage to the original 13 American colonies.

* THE COPPER AND CRIMSON HUES: The alternating red and yellow colors represent the blazing palette of a classic western desert sunset (while historically honoring the colors of the Spanish flag carried by early explorers).

Now you know!!! Hope you like the photo;). Feel free to share with your friends if you like 🌵
