I'm Jenna, a wedding, senior, and family photographer based in Zelienople, PA and serving the greater Pittsburgh area. Most days (aside from working), you'll find me snuggled up with my pups, Rhylan & Isaac, drinking scalding hot coffee, listening to my current favorite movie soundtrack, or watching a Pixar movie with my husband (we love Ratatouille and Up!). I love llamas, put ketchup on way too many different types of foods, and get a high from finding the perfect gift for a friend, family member, or stranger!

It has been a busy, busy season and I am so thankful! But I've also needed to catch up on sharing some of what I've been working on throughout the fall... and here is a sweet family session I have been excited to share!

This family of 6 was a blast to photograph! Mom is an incredible photographer, so I was so honored to get to take these photos for them. And as you can imagine, the kids know the drill and were so sweet to photograph!

One of my favorite parts about this whole session happened at the end. They packed a picnic dinner to enjoy after their session was over, overlooking the lake. I love that idea!

Another favorite type of Christmas session I love... photos in the adorable, quaint town of Historic Harmony! 🎄

Harmony always has such beautiful Christmas decor up for the holiday season, and it lends itself to the prettiest, most quintessential photos. Many of my clients make a day of it by heading over to the one of the restaurants, bakeries, or coffee shops in town (The Harmony Inn, Lagerhaus Bakery, Wunderbar Coffee & Crepes), or somewhere else the nearby town of Zelienople.

It was a beautiful evening for Sierra's senior photos at Succop Nature Park ☀️ There are so many beautiful features at Succop - fielded areas, the willow tree, water, forest... so many good spots for photos!

And I loved that Sierra brought her pup, Sasha, with her for her photos! She loves animals and wants to move towards a career caring for them post high school.

Fall morning senior sessions >>>>

We had some fog the morning of Delaney's senior session and mixed with those fall colors, pretty golden light, and just the right outfit choices, it was all *chef's kiss*

Sometimes, my clients are worried that they will miss out on golden hour if they schedule a morning session. But the light is beautiful and golden in the early sunrise timeframe, too! And the great thing about October (post summer, pre daylight savings) is that you don't have to get up too early to catch that lovely light!

Fall really is my favorite time for photos - and a lot of people might think it has to do with the foliage (which is partially true!). Another reason I love fall is the light!

Did you know that the sun "sits" lower in the sky in the fall? The sun follows a lower path across the sky, which makes it appear more "golden" during golden hour. The more you know!

And I am so glad Cosette chose fall for her photos! Her outfits perfectly complimented the scenery with her deep burgundy and dark browns. And can we just talk about that skirt for a minute!!! It's from Altar'd State in case you needed to know.

Cosette also brought her dog, Alex, to her photo session, who just had the best time! Dogs are always welcome here 🐾

I love when seniors incorporate their hobbies and passions into their photo session.. and for Lily, incorporating her two horses was a must! 🐴

Lily's senior photo session took place at the barn her horses are boarded at (where she also works!). I've learned throughout the years that when a senior wants photos at a horse barn, beautiful views can always be expected... and these ones did not disappoint! We even had some beautiful fall color decorating the hills.

When thinking about a location for senior photos, it can be fun to think about using a personal location that has special meaning. It can be fun to think outside of the box to create images that truly reflect the senior!
