A little reintroduction... 🩷
Hi, I’m Kim, the face behind Capturing Beauty.
It’s been a little while, so I wanted to reintroduce myself and share a little bit about the heart behind this business.
I started Capturing Beauty in 2018 with one purpose: helping women see the beauty, confidence, and strength that have always been there.
Before photography, I was a hair and makeup artist, and I’ve always loved creating moments where women feel seen, celebrated, and beautiful. Photography became another way for me to do that not just capturing how someone looks, but capturing who they are.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of photographing so many incredible people: seniors beginning new chapters, couples celebrating their stories, dancers, models, families, and women from all walks of life.
I’ve traveled for sessions and retreats, opened my own studio, given back through discounted sessions, and had the privilege of seeing my work featured in magazines and on local news. But the moments I treasure most are the ones that happen behind the camera, the confidence that grows, the laughter we share, and the way someone sees themselves a little differently when they walk away.
This past year, I took some time away from photography. I needed space to step back, reflect, and reconnect with myself and the reason I started this journey in the first place.
Coming back, I feel more inspired than ever about what Capturing Beauty can be.
This has always been about more than photos. It’s about creating an experience where women feel confident, empowered, and celebrated.
So whether you’ve been here since 2018 or you’re just finding me, thank you for being here. I’m excited to share what’s ahead. 🩷
