I am absolutely devastated that two of the most amazing natural formations anywhere have fallen in a matter of weeks. Most believe it was due to the record rainfall we've received. I have spent many days (and more nights) visiting, photographing and looking in amazement at these formations and I'm crushed knowing they are no longer with us.

To all of the great photographers who I've spent nights with out there and yes, even getting lost with, here's my tribute.

I recently visited Bosque Del Apache and was able to get below this dragonfly. I believe it might be a Variegated Meadowhawk but I'm definitely not sure (where's my father, the dragonfly expert) when I need him. They are such fascinating creatures and nature's most deadly hunters.
