This book came out in 1977 and, I received a copy of this from my grandmother for Christmas. I remember the thrill of unwrapping it along the crisp smell that only new books have. I very much had 'Maine on the brain' even well before that day. Picked up a used copy today just to relive the moment I guess. Having not made it back up here until my late 30's, I've since been to every corner of the state for one job or another. Guess I'll read on what I missed on the twenty plus years it took me in getting back.
