Caitlin & JD— wed in a charming coastal town as the sky turned gold & pink and then blue, sheep grazing in the meadow behind them, her siblings fighting back tears as she walked down the hill with mom and dad towards her high school love, everyone in awe of the beauty that was unfolding.
It was the perfect ceremony for a wedding that felt straight out of a late 90’s / early 2000’s Nancy Meyers / Nora Ephron rom-com— dance floor singalongs, guests swapping dresses with each other, getting ready slowly in an 1850’s farmhouse while sipping tea with mom and sister, a crowd of friends and family eager to belt every word to Randy Newman’s “I Love LA” for our dodgers-loving groom.
And somehow amidst all the moments worth getting lost in we found one to tuck away for a “when harry met sally” inspired interview (an ode to their favorite movie), taking a moment at the end of their welcome event to recount their meet cute story and honor their love story over a decade in the making— the perfect way to kick off their wedding weekend and film.
