Build a business around the life you want to have…

My motto and drive stems from here. I never anticipated starting my own business, but love made me make a huge leap many moons ago. I left my stable new job and went freelance to follow my heart and person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. It was that first leap that has brought me here today.

I realized quickly that this was a path that might work well with my desire to have a family some day.

Today I am proud to share my latest transition and hard work over the last year and a half. A new updated website that feels like it encompasses me as the young girl who started out to the seasoned woman and mom of 4 today.

I am grateful for all the incredibly talented people I have met along the way. You have inspired me to keep going and to keep building for the life I want to have. This journey was not done alone, shared her incredible talents in design, patience and artistry to help create a visual story of the work and words I wanted to use to share this new season in life.

In the coming weeks I plan to share more of this new season, I am going to call it my “Transition moving into the calm with a fresh breath of air”

15 years....it’s kind of unbelievable how time flies by, yet it also seems to stand still in my own eyes. It feels like yesterday when I first met Eric. Years ago I decided to do away with cards and I bought us a leather journal. We write and put photos in it on special occasions and sometimes slip it under each others pillow or just leave a note here and there. I can only hope that many years from now my children will cherish the notes Eric and I have written and have a glimpse into the love we share for each other. We have been blessed with an incredible adventure thus far. Two hopeless romantics just dreaming of growing old together❤️

Clean windows are totally over rated! I’m working on some new updates to my business and it’s having me go through my archives and this.... this right here is why I do what I do. It stopped me in my tracks today and pulled my heart so strong. It may not be the best photo I’ve taken but it’s of a detailed moment in time that took my heart right back to that day when this crazy mom was seeing something with the light but instead I got the best window kisses ever♥️ No frills, just documenting as I go. I promise your images will do the same for you!

It’s just too easy to prioritize the urgent over the important!
Planning ahead is such a huge part of how I function with 4 kids schedules , my household and work. Today I finally finished a huge online class that I bought way too long ago and just never made the time for it, because it wasn’t urgent. I bought a new planner from today as paper has always been my best friend. As I’m thinking of how I’ll be using my new planner my head is swimming with so many things I want to do , including adding more of my love for styling, design and painting to my business. So today I prioritized importance first and will promise to share more of my love for styling, art and design along with my family photography because it’s just too important for me not too. This beautiful piece is by my dear friend .life.matter whom shares my love in designing with hand made, organic items that fill your heart to make your home unique to you. Something will always be urgent but be mindful of the important ❤️
