I think my favorite thing about these photos is how Paige reaches for Zachary. Her hands on his cheeks, her arms around his neck, her head resting against his chest. And there he is, holding her just as close. 🤍

They have a whole wedding to dream about, people to tell, and plans to make. But this afternoon was theirs. A yes in the mountains and time to enjoy being completely wrapped up in each other.

The weather held out just long enough for a perfect proposal and a dreamy session, but Conner & Makenzie were so happy and in love, I don’t think much else would have mattered. 🤍

These two made a cloudy afternoon in the mountains feel awfully romantic. The way they looked at each other, the little kisses, and all that newly engaged happiness—I loved getting to capture it.

I remembered that smile long after I photographed their proposal.

Madi has this joy about her that you can’t help but love. A smile that never quits, that reaches her eyes and makes everyone around her smile, too. It was one of my favorite things about the day Grant asked her to marry him.

Getting to see that same smile as she walked toward him on their wedding day meant so much to me. And then looking over at Grant… well, just look at his face. 🥹

These two are madly, deeply in love, and it is such a beautiful thing to get to photograph.

Grant & Madi, thank you for inviting me back to photograph your wedding. It meant so much to see you two again and capture that same joy on such a meaningful day.

When you’re 80, I hope these photos still make you laugh.

I hope you point to one and say, “I don’t remember what he said, but I remember I couldn’t stop laughing.” I hope your grandkids see that playful side of you and ask you to tell them everything.

I’m not going to interrupt a moment like that to fix your hair or make sure you’re standing just right. I want the way you lean into each other when you’re laughing. The ridiculous faces. The look that says you’d choose this person all over again.

Years from now, a hair out of place will be such a small thing.

You were HAPPY. You were having FUN. You were in LOVE.

And you’ll have the photos to remember it.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over how lucky I am to do this.

Somewhere in the middle of someone else’s biggest moment, I’m behind my camera smiling like an idiot because LOOK at them. The excitement. The way they’re looking at each other. All that happiness. 🥹

And I get to help them remember it.

I just really, really love what I do. 🤍
