I just missed out on making the top 12 finalists and getting in the Glacier Conservancy calendar this year, but honorable mention is not bad out of almost 4500 entries.

Niki Naeve and I had a lovely time last night at the official opening of the Hotel Longmont. We were invited because I have several photos on display in various spaces in the hotel through the end of the year, including outside the rooftop restaurant Longmont Supply, which has one of the best views in town! Thanks to the Longmont Downtown Creative District for the opportunity to share some local photos at this lovely new addition to downtown.

Chat GPT selling ads means one thing + they are selling search results. Don't trust anything they say to the contrary. It was always headed this way, and every AI tool will sell you out.

Ads have been rolled out for free users and those on the 399 rupee ($4) per month 'Go' plan.

Balanced Rock Star Trails Blend - We had some challenges with cloudy monsoon skies on Rock Light Photo's Perseids & Milky Way workshop in Moab last week, but we had a couple of short windows of partially clear sky. This blended image from about an hour's worth of accumulated star trails shots, layered under with a single shot northern Milky Way image, blended with a vehicle illuminated Balanced Rock foreground, and a brightly colored meteor. Canon EOS R8 (Visible + H-Alpha modified) w/ Canon RF 20mm F/1.4: (98x) 10 sec at f/2.0 ISO 3200.
I think the results are interesting. I'd love some feedback!
