twas the night before marriage…

(this isn’t gonna rhyme just a head up)

when izzy and zach frolicked around telluride
izzy wore her mothers wedding dress
and the moon came to give her their blessing.
they took in the view of the breathtaking san juan’s,
and tried to stay warm as the autumn breeze quickly turned to goosebump central

gosh, i just love you telluride

as soon as izzy and zach mentioned that him bringing her coffee in bed every weekend morning was a ritual for them, I knew it had to be part of their elopement day. and so, I proposed the idea of coffee in bed and it bloomed into a collaborative idea of private vows over their shared cup of joe on the balcony☕️

this is why working together and talking through activities for your elopement day is such an important part of my process…you never know what will light up a client’s eyes when you’re just bouncing ideas back and forth

one part of many I can’t wait to share from I + Z’s San Juan’s elopement ⛰️

little reminders from the universe like this as to why I keep going even when it gets hard: for me.

it can be hard to not fall into the desire to work and create to fulfill the seeming expectations of those around us. external validation is a slippery slope all of us fall into at some point.

but shaming ourselves further into that slope does nothing. what matters is that you pull yourself out of it with love and compassion however many times you need to, always coming back home to yourself.

In a partnership, there are three entities: you, your partner, and your relationship.

To see Buck and Emilia commit themselves to one another and their relationship last summer with the backdrop of the San Juan Mountains was one thing (see epic photos on my feed bc it was truly magic), but to see them recommit their words in front of all the ones who love them most felt like another layer of depth I had the honor of being able to create art to commemorate.

I feel this capture really encompasses the feeling of being independent people but coming together to create a new entity together to place your energy and love into.

Happy (over one) year anniversary Emilia and Buck, so grateful to call you two my friends. Thank you for allowing me to be part of several different moments in time of your lives together🫂🩷
