PixInsight 1.9.6 is out today, one of the main changes is blind astrometric solving. I'm adding this to my list of features to test for a future tutorial. But there is a lot more, you can view the full list of features here: https://pixinsight.net/dev/index.php?articles/pixinsight-1-9-6-lockhart-released.28/
As always, to avoid clutter and unnecessary long lessons, I will only choose to include new changes in my processing guides if I end up adding them to my personal workflow!

M49, an elliptical galaxy 55.9 million light-years away in Virgo. Not impressive visually of course as it doesn't have details, but still needed to complete the Messier Catalog! This was 5 hours of integration time with and SVX130 and QHY600M.

The Heart Nebula and the Fish Head Nebula. This was one of my very first monochrome pictures, using the ASI1600MM. Good times. This was taken in SHO, 4 hours from a Bortle 4 zone. Can't wait to shoot the Fish Head region again soon!

This is the true size of the moon as it looks with a 135mm lens and full frame Canon camera. And then the same but zoomed in. Nice details are still visible despite the heavy crop.

Messier 14 is a globular cluster in Ophiuchus that is home to at least 150,000 stars, including 70 variables. It's approximately 29,000 light-years away. This picture was taken in 3 hours with the QHY600M and SVX130 camera from Starfront Observatories.

This week Tesla announces a flying car.
At the same time, Vaonis announces a Twin Smart Telescope.
Welcome to the future! 😁
I'm currently writing a blog post to neatly explain what Atlas is about. Did you watch the announcement, and what do you think of the price? Single or Twin? Currently it's on pre-order with a $1K+ discount on the Vaonis website vaonis.pxf.io/2RqkWM and High Point: https://bit.ly/4hNX0Fd
