A few highlights from my Christmas Day dive with my spirit animal. The chill d***y slow moving sea cows of the sea, the Manatee. Being able to get up close and personal with these giants is a light light every time I visit. As we close out 2024, remember the highlights of your year! I have a few even though I don't post much.

From the edge of the cavern and cave entrance looking up you see the Deep Annex of both worlds. The view was quite amazing and abstract! Remember, there is beauty all around you and it's important to take it in, something boring can be very exciting!

Been sitting on this one for a minute. Throwback to last month when I went cenote cave diving. Shot on . It's been a few months since my UX bootcamp but it's time to get back to work. Too much fun....and so much life to still live.

I give you Aurora Birdealis! I had to work until midnight last night but incredibly had energy to stay out the rest of the night. I drove to dark sky to randomly find a field. The borealis gave birth to a bird on accident with multicolor wings!

Night of Reflection! A night so dark and so still the starts reflected off the lake. The northern lights turned purple and danced for a short while. Not the most powerful storm but being able to watch satellites move across the sky is serene! Love the dark sky sanctuary of the north.

Tried Snuba (diving with compressor on surface) yesterday but I was very skeptical about two motorcycles engines leading into a beer keg. He assured me he has dove on this setup for thirty years. He would let his son go first, if I had doubt. So I went for it and had a great time spear fishing. Likely won't do it again but never doubt ingenuity no matter how rough something looks.

For a long time, I haven't been able to go out and just shoot. Normally I'm given a cookie cutter task and expedite the shoot to maximize profits. Today, I was able to wander around the city and shoot views which inspire me. I've ridden through North Loop and NE MPLS thousands of times.

While riding my bike I found angles which made me fall in love again with the city. It gets such a bad wrap from everyone that doesn't live here. Downtown, specifically North Loop, has such charm. This bracket shot was a mistake but it brought art and photography together.

Normally I joke because photography is the lazy man's art because I can't draw or paint.

Hopefully this will inspire you to slow down in the city you live and really look around.

F**k yeah I love my city!

Not the prettiest foreground and I should of had a wider lens but this is one of my wide angles of totality. Out of 900+ photos one bracket of three photos was the winner. In case anyone missed it, this is what totality looked like from the human perspective.

This is my second attempt at shooting a solar eclipse. My whole trip lasted 20 hours and two flights and one of the last rent-a-cars in the STL area. Ironically a straight out of the camera was better than 7 bracketed photos. Shows how good I am at editing....

I have plenty more shots but this was the only one I had time to quickly look at. I had crystal clear conditions and an excellent viewing area.

If you have never seen a solar eclipse don't worry about the whole 2044 thing, those are for people who don't travel. They happen around the world every 18 months roughly. So plan a trip and catch an eclipse. It's one of the most magical experiences you will see and remember forever!

Since I was out droning, I stopped the Hot Air Affair looking for this other shot. I have been chasing this photo for 5 years and finally timing, weather, and tech all aligned.

I have always wanted to capture the Luminary Loppet from the air. Finally, I was able to knock a few of my bucket shots off the list. The lack of snow and ice lead to a great opportunity of capturing Lake of the Isles from a different angle.
