This is a video I recently did for my sweet friend, Tori, and her husband, Nate!
A few years ago, I decided to try my hand at videography and I'm so glad I did! I've been doing lifestyle videos, where a family picks a theme, could be a holiday, a specific season, new baby coming, kids' birthday, or just something the family likes doing together. I film a variety of shots, put them together, and add music to the background. Some themes are pretty ordinary.. just a series of snippets of a family doing everyday things together. Playing in the yard, making dinner, bedtime routine, mom rocking baby to sleep, messes around the house, fingerprints on the sliding door, grubby knees of babies from crawling around, laughter, snuggles.. just any detail I feel like adding in the moment! Having little ones myself, I find these videos to be deeply meaningful. Pictures are great and will always have their place, but video clips invoke so many different feelings and emotions. I've completed several for my family, and I cry every time I watch one. It's like I'm able to freeze the family in time. Mannerisms and other things that have been forgotten are captured forever. 🥰🥰🥰
