• a one hour session was the plan — but then Bobby + Mandy happened. 💍🔥

I’ve known Mandy for many years, so when she reached out and asked me to photograph her Wedding next year, I couldn’t have been more excited. Then I met Bobby — and within minutes, it was easy to see just how happy these two truly are together. He was incredibly kind, the three of us instantly clicked, and what was supposed to be a quick one-hour engagement session somehow turned into an entire evening together.

We photographed until the sun disappeared, talked and laughed long after the cameras should’ve been packed away, and our cars didn’t leave the parking lot until the sun was gone. Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions — the ones where somewhere along the way, it stops feeling like work and simply feels like spending time with good people.

Mandy + Bobby, I am SO thrilled with how these turned out and even more excited for what’s ahead. If your engagement session was this much fun, I have a feeling your Wedding Day is going to be one for the books.

Congratulations, you two. Next year can’t get here soon enough! 🤍

Years ago, Kacey and I were walking the same high school hallways. I was the kid with a camera in my hand, filming homecoming weeks and capturing moments that, at the time, we had no idea would someday feel like memories from another lifetime.

Fast forward all these years, and somehow, I’m still holding that camera. Only now, I’m filming first looks instead of football games. Wedding vows instead of pep rallies. First dances instead of crowded spirit week hallways. How full circle is that?

Last fall, my team and I had the privilege of documenting Kacey’s brother Dustin’s wedding. This time around, it was Cole + Kacey’s turn — and their wedding day at Piazza Messina gave us everything a good story should.

There were moments that had us laughing behind our cameras and others that made it nearly impossible to keep our eyes dry. Kacey locking eyes with Cole as she made her way down the aisle. A father-of-the-bride speech that hit straight in the heart. A bridesmaids’ performance during the first dance that none of us will be forgetting anytime soon.

The day was heartfelt. The day was hilarious. The day was beautiful.

Cole + Kacey, thank you for letting us tell a small piece of your story. We cannot wait for you to see everything we have in store for you.

Couples like this are why we fell in love with weddings in the first place. 🤍📸

We first met Ashton + Viridiana last summer during their engagement session, and from the very beginning it was clear they had something special. Kind, genuine, full of laughter, and completely in step with one another — it didn't take long to know their wedding day would be just as enjoyable.

Yet somehow, it exceeded every expectation.

Viridiana was absolutely breathtaking, Ashton looked sharp as ever, and every part of the day felt authentic. From an emotional first look with the father of the bride to a reception that turned into an unforgettable celebration — crowd surfing, dollar bills flying through the air, and a dance floor so full of energy we could hardly decide where to point our cameras — it was one of those nights you never want to end.

Ashton + Viridiana, thank you for trusting us with one of the biggest days of your lives. The love surrounding you was impossible to miss, and after spending the day with your family and friends, it's easy to understand why. It was an absolute honor to tell your story. Congratulations to you both!

This past weekend, we had the privilege of documenting Jacob + Sarah’s Wedding Day — and for us, it was a reminder of just how incredible it is to watch life come full circle.

Long before cameras, timelines, and wedding films.. there was a friendship that started back in childhood. Jacob and I never could have imagined that one day I'd be documenting one of life's biggest milestones for him and his wife, yet somehow.. there we were.

What stood out most throughout the day wasn't just the history behind it all, though. It was the way Jacob + Sarah looked at one another. The quiet moments. The laughter. The effortless way they moved through the day together. It's easy to see that these two have found something truly special.

Jacob + Sarah, thank you for trusting us to tell your story. It was an honor to celebrate alongside you and preserve these memories for generations to come. Congratulations, newlyweds!

• the best wedding days are the ones that feel like scenes from a movie. 🎞️🔥

From the very beginning, Colton + Jessi's day had all the ingredients for a film we'd never want to stop watching. The kind of wedding where every corner of the venue held another story, every detail felt intentional, and every moment seemed to unfold naturally in front of the camera.

Crossbuck Barn set the stage perfectly. Cowboy hats, worn boots, cowhides, hay bales, cold drinks, and enough western charm to make you forget you were in Missouri and not somewhere deep in Texas. Every frame felt authentic to who they are.

And then there was the "cast".

A wedding party that brought nonstop energy from sunrise to last call. Fireball shots before the ceremony, gifts exchanged that fit the occasion perfectly, tailgates serving as gathering spots, and a group of friends who made sure there wasn't a dull moment all day long.

But what made the story worth telling wasn't the details, the decor, or even the party.. it was Colton + Jessi. They never tried to fit into someone else's idea of what a wedding should look like. They built a day that reflected exactly who they are, surrounded themselves with the people they love most, and simply enjoyed every second of it.

Those are the stories we love filming.

• some seasons of life deserve to be slowed down + celebrated. 🌅🤍

Just last year, we were documenting Jaeden + Emma's wedding day. Since that time, they've purchased a home, built a beautiful life together and ARE now preparing to welcome their first child into the world. Talk about blessings — and they absolutely deserve every one of them.

What we love most about these two, though, isn't just the milestones they're reaching — it's who they are. Kind, genuine, and absolutely hilarious. We always go into our sessions with the best intentions of getting straight to work, and somehow end up spending half the time laughing instead. Somewhere between the conversations and the nonstop jokes, these clients became friends, and we're incredibly thankful for that.

Congratulations, Jaeden + Emma! We cannot wait to meet your little boy later this summer and watch this next chapter unfold.

• if every engagement session felt this effortless, my job would be way too easy. 💍📸

Jay + Ashley made a trip all the way from Arkansas for their engagement session this past weekend, as well as a little getaway in St. Louis, and I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to get to know them before their wedding next year in Springdale.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is that they give my clients and I the chance to move beyond emails and phone calls and actually spend time together before the big day. By the end of my session with these two specifically, it felt less like saying goodbye to clients and more like making future plans with friends. The laughs came easy, the conversation never stopped, and these two were unbelievably comfortable in front of the camera from the very beginning.

I hope St. Louis treated you both as well as you deserved during your visit, and I hope you enjoyed this session half as much as I did. Congratulations on your engagement, Jay + Ashley — I can't wait to celebrate with you both next year!

• when the cowboy hats outnumber the dress shoes, you know you're in for a good time. 🍻🔥

From the moment I met Colton + Jessi during their winter engagement session earlier this year, I had a feeling their wedding day was going to be something special. The western charm was already there — and by wedding day, they turned it into something unforgettable.

Crossbuck Barn was the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt straight out of a country song. Cowhides, boots, hay bales, cowboy hats, and thoughtful details everywhere you looked. Jessi absolutely knocked it out of the park bringing her vision to life.

And then there was the wedding party.

Without a doubt, one of the most entertaining groups we've worked with all year. Fireball shots, pistols exchanged as wedding gifts, tailgates packed with ice-cold b**r, and enough energy to keep the celebration rolling from start to finish. This crew showed up ready to celebrate, and they did not disappoint.

What stood out most, though, was how true Colton + Jessi stayed to themselves throughout the entire day. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt staged. Just two people celebrating their love exactly the way they wanted to, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

Those are the stories that are the most fun to document.
