I have been married to my best friend for 29 years. We have two family dogs. If you have hung out on my page you know that I love Belly Bumps, Babies and Watching them grow behind my lens. When not photographing beautiful sessions, I enjoy traveling to the warm sandy beaches and listening to the ocean waves. One day I hope to visit the mountains. Swaddling can help babies feel secure and cozy, often leading to better sleep and a calmer baby.

Bonus? Most babies absolutely love being wrapped up snugly during their newborn session, too!

Why Newborn Photos Are Best Before 14 Days Old

Did you know?

The best time for a posed newborn session is typically between 5-14 days old.

During this stage, babies are:
🤍 Sleepier
🤍 More flexible for those adorable curled-up poses
🤍 Less likely to be bothered by being moved and swaddled

Of course, beautiful images can be captured at any age, but those classic sleepy newborn poses are easiest during those first few days.

If you’re expecting, it’s best to reserve your session while you’re still pregnant so your spot is guaranteed when baby arrives!
