I See You…

I see you.

Not just when the announcer calls your name or when the crowd starts to cheer.
I see you long before the gate ever opens.
I see the nervous glance toward the chute.

The quiet prayer whispered beneath your breath. The hands that have spent countless hours preparing for just a few seconds that most people will never truly understand.

I see the sacrifices no one else notices.
The miles driven through the night.
The missed holidays.
The bruises hidden beneath your jeans.
The broken gear patched together because quitting was never an option.

I see the disappointment after a missed catch, a buck-off, or a run that wasn't what you hoped for. I see you dust yourself off, take a deep breath, and enter again, because giving up was never part of the plan.

People see eight seconds.

I see the years it took to earn those eight seconds.
The countless hours in the practice pen.
The early mornings and late nights.
The horses that became partners.
The injuries you fought through.
The dreams that kept you going when everything else told you to quit.

I see the parents who believed in you before anyone else did.
The spouses and children waiting in the stands.
The friends tightening your cinch, holding your horse, cheering from behind the chutes, or celebrating your victories as if they were their own.
I see the victories that never make the headlines.
The horse that finally trusted you.
The young contestant who found confidence.
The competitor who stopped to help someone else before stepping into the arena themselves.
The truck held together by determination.
The aching body that still climbs back into the saddle.
The tears shed where no one else could see.

So to every cowboy and every cowgirl chasing a dream that offers no guarantees...
I see you.
I see your grit.
I see your sacrifices.
I see your heart.

Because rodeo has never been measured by the length of a ride.
It's measured by the strength of the person who climbs back on ,time and time again.

Opening night of Pond Hill Pro Rodeo got western in a lot of events ! This cowboy sure was sticky and rode this bronc out. Ive never seen a bronc get this vertical !!

When the Fourth of July rolls around, the rodeo road comes alive.

Cowboy Christmas is more than a week of rodeos—it's a tradition built on long miles, early mornings, late nights, and chasing a dream from one arena to the next. It's where grit meets opportunity and every stop is another chance to leave your mark.

To every cowboy and cowgirl loading up and heading down the highway, I wish you safe travels, good draws, steady hands, and the courage to give it everything you've got. May your horses stay sound, your faith stay strong, and the road ahead lead you closer to your goals.

Here's to the tradition of Cowboy Christmas and to everyone living the rodeo way of life.
