I'm posting this in honor of my dear mother.

I have been off here & other media for just over a week now dealing with a terribly sad & upsetting event in my life, the excruciating decline of my dear mother & her death that occurred two days ago in the very early hours of the morning, here in my home, while my brother & I were tending to her needs.

I was her primary caregiver & she lived with me for 5 years & 3 days after losing my dad a year earlier.

Mom turned 95 a month ago and I have only seen two people die in my life. My dad, 6 years ago and now my mom, and both events were soul-destroying. I was with my father as he died and now my mother too.

I took this photo a week ago today and she was in a very bad way, unconscious and paralyzed, unable to eat or drink, after suffering a serious heart attack followed a few hours later by a stroke.

I have a lot to sort out now after her death but, will be returning to normal in time. I just wanted to let you know why I have disappeared for a while.

She was an excellent, honest, hard-working & upright person and my brother & I were blessed to have her for many decades...

Jennings Architects have hired me a number of times since I retired from my career as an architect at the end of 2015 to photograph their projects. Here's the renovation they did at Marvin Methodist Church in downtown Tyler that I photographed for them. It was a beautiful project.
