There are occasions when a wedding couple becomes good friends. Then there are the rare few who become family.

The Kirbys, all of them, are one of those families.

I was lucky enough to photograph Jayden and Clayton's wedding seven years ago, and through them I met Dennis, Denise, and Kellen. What started as a wedding day relationship quickly turned into so much more. Since then, I've had the privilege of documenting so many milestones for their family, babies, senior sessions, birthdays, and countless moments in between.

I was absolutely thrilled when I got the call that Kellen had proposed. I had been talking with Jayden about a completely different session and assumed that's what she was calling about. But when I asked, she said, "Nope." My very next question was, "Is our KK getting married?!"

Obviously, the answer was yes.

Getting to walk through this season with Karleigh and Kellen was just as special as it sounds. There is something incredibly meaningful about watching people you've celebrated, photographed, and loved for years begin a new chapter of their own.

What started with one Kirby wedding seven years ago has turned into countless memories, and I couldn't be more grateful to be a small part of their story. Even if Kellen tried to cut his ring finger off the day before the wedding.... ❤️

I want to introduce you to Leah ♡

She’s my go to, the person I call when I need to talk through ideas, fix something, or make sure I’m not overthinking everything for the hundredth time. She shows up for me in a way that’s hard to put into words.

She’s been by my side at almost every wedding for the past 7+ years, and past brides can absolutely attest to how amazing she is.

There was a season where I physically couldn’t run my business ( Thank Covid) and Leah stepped in and handled it. Weddings, clients, communication, all of it. She kept everything going when I couldn’t, and that’s something I will never forget.

I trust her completely, not just as a photographer, but as a friend, and that kind of trust is rare. She has her own page as well!

Sweet baby Noah!♡

A few months ago, I shared that I’m making a shift in how I photograph and share my littlest clients.

No one is entitled to a child’s image online. Not me, not social media, no one. These are real kids with real lives, and once something is on the internet, it’s out there. Their safety, their privacy, and their future matter more than likes, shares, or marketing.

I’ve had a few people ask how I’ll “advertise” this way, and frankly, I’ve been doing this for almost 13 years. I have a full body of work that speaks for itself, and I don’t need to rely on a child’s face to do that. My clients are always welcome to share their own images however they choose, and word of mouth has always been a huge part of my business. That kind of trust and referral means more than anything I could post online.

PS, I am actively working through past sessions and removing or hiding images where needed. It’s a big task after 12+ years, so it’s slow going, but it’s happening.

Great photography requires a balance of technical mastery and an intuitive eye for the authentic.

It’s not just knowing your camera, it’s knowing when to step in and when to step back. It’s understanding light, composition, and timing on a level that feels second nature, while also recognizing the quiet, unscripted moments that can’t be posed or recreated.

True luxury in photography isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. It’s the ability to preserve a feeling exactly as it was, refined, intentional, and deeply personal.

Anyone can pick up a camera and take a photo, but not everyone can tell a story that still feels alive years later.

A morning well spent with two of my favorite doctors, McKenna and Seth. The garden showed out for us, yet these two still managed to be the highlight of the view.

​I first photographed these two on their wedding day, and seeing them again for a spring session felt like catching up with old friends. Between their busy schedules in the medical field, I am so glad we found a morning to slow down and capture this season of their lives.

I had the honor of traveling to Utopia, Texas to photograph my cousin Ethan and his beautiful bride, Sofey's wedding, tucked away at some private cabins surrounded by the peaceful Texas Hill Country. It was a small, intimate celebration filled with so much love.

What made it even more special was how much of the day was created by the people who love them most. Friends and family came together to help decorate and bring everything to life, and Ethan’s mom even did Sofey’s hair, which was such a sweet and meaningful touch.

The whole day felt relaxed, heartfelt, and completely them. Just two people deeply in love, surrounded by the ones who matter most.

Sofey and Ethan, thank you for letting me be part of such a meaningful day for you both. It was truly an honor to capture these memories for yall!♡
