This post is on of the hardest for me to make, but I believe in being honest and transparent with the people who have supported Jamie Goode Studios over the last 20 years.

The truth is… business has been very slow lately. I’ve only had one booking in the last three weeks, and behind the scenes I’ve been trying to hold everything together while also dealing with ongoing health issues and medical appointments.

Like many small business owners, this business is not backed by a big company or team. Jamie Goode Studios is how I support my home, pay my bills, cover medical expenses, and continue creating the work I love so deeply.

Photography has never just been a job to me. It’s been my passion, my purpose, and something I’ve poured my heart into for years. But right now, I truly need support from my community.

Some artists become famous.
Some artists become legends.
And then there are artists like Aaron Watson — the kind of person who reminds you what being a good human being actually looks like.

Getting to photograph Aaron at Red Dirt BBQ & Music Fest was more than just photographing a Texas music icon. It was watching a man who truly loves people, loves his family, loves God, and never forgets where he came from.

In a world where so many chase fame, attention, and ego… Aaron Watson stands out for completely different reasons.

He supports his fans.
He uplifts his band.
He encourages young artists.
He believes in kindness.
He believes in treating people with respect.
And he uses his platform to lift others up instead of making everything about himself.

Watching him bring kids on stage, encourage young musicians, and support the next generation of dreamers was something special to witness firsthand. You can tell it matters to him. Those moments are real. The smiles are real. The encouragement is real.

And honestly… that’s rare.

You can see how proud he is of his band members. Proud of his son chasing music and playing alongside him. Proud of the people who helped build this journey with him. That kind of humility says everything about a person.

Aaron Watson isn’t just a Texas artist.
He’s the kind of man parents hope their kids look up to.
The kind of artist fans stay loyal to for decades.
The kind of human being this world needs more of.

As creative director, disguised as a photographer, I capture the story from the moments. But sometimes you walk away capturing character too.

. . . . . . . And then Hudson Westbrook hit the stage . . . . . . . and Red Dirt BBQ & Music Fest absolutely exploded.

From the first song to the final encore, the crowd was loud, the energy was unreal, and every single person in that place knew they were watching one of Texas country’s fastest rising stars do what he does best. 🎤🎸

At only 21 years old, Hudson is already creating the kind of live show people remember long after the lights go down — and the fans? Some of the absolute best. Loud, loyal, and singing every word back to him! 🤍🩶🖤
