Someday soon we might be able to take a picture of the Seattle Space Needle, from, ahem, Space! Until then, keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, keep your seatbelts fastened until the captain has turned off the fasten seatbelt light, and keep looking up.

Sail away with me honey!

Show of hands, how many of us would like to be on this sailboat, wind behind us, pushing us out into the open ocean, with nothing to fear except capsizing, running out of fresh water, food, sharks, lack of wind, sinking, sharks again, jellyfish, rogue sea turtles, the occasional dolphin (which will probably steal whatever food you actually had left, they’re crafty) and the possibility of death. I’d still choose boat. ✋

Here’s a short video of our weekend in Cape Canaveral, watching American Astronauts launching from American Soil on American Rockets. I rented a Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens from lensrentals in an attempt to get up close and personal with a SpaceX Falcon 9 during NASA’s DM-2 mission. I was 13 miles away but I think this turned out acceptable.

I got home a little too late to head down to the Safety Harbor Pier to catch the Full Moon Rising, so I had to improvise.
It was an hour after moonrise, but there are really cool trees along the Ream Wilson Trail, which runs about 30m behind our condo. {grabs camera and tripod and finds nearest branches}
