Can we all agree that professional headshots don't have to look like corporate directory photos?

You know what I mean. Stiff pose. Plain background. A smile that says, “I'm being held here against my will.” (ok maybe not THAT bad)😂

But seriously, professional photos really can have personality!

That's why I love taking headshots around downtown Oklahoma City. The architecture, city streets, and interesting backgrounds add variety while keeping the focus on you.

You still get professional, polished photos that look like you... but they also FEEL like you.

🩷This verse has been on my mind lately:
“For physical training is beneficial for a little, but godly devotion is beneficial for all things, as it holds promise of the life now and the life that is to come.” — 1 Timothy 4:8

I've been sticking with a regular fitness routine for a while now, I'm seeing the results, and it's really satisfying! I'm proud of myself for being consistent, and there is real benefit to taking care of my physical health. 💪

But I love the reminder in this verse that as much as physical strength matters, what's happening on the inside matters so much more.

It's easy to spend a lot of energy thinking about how we look, how we feel, and how we can improve ourselves physically. The world around us certainly gives us plenty of reasons to do that.

But the most important "strength training" I can do is cultivating a heart of godly devotion. How am I doing on the inside? Am I becoming more loving, patient, kind, humble and faithful? Am I strengthening my relationship with God and making that my priority?

Those things won't show up in the mirror, but they have far greater value. ✨

So yes, I'll keep doing my squats. 😂 But I want to be just as intentional about training my heart.

A few of my favorite branding wardrobe tips:
✨ Choose 3 words that describe your brand and let those guide your outfit choices.
✨ Prioritize fit and comfort. If something pulls, gaps, rides up or makes you uncomfortable, the camera will know. Cameras are rude like that.
✨ Use color and texture strategically. You don't have to wear your brand colors from head to toe. Neutrals + a pop of your signature color can be a great combination.
✨ Plan multiple looks that show different sides of your business. A polished look, a more casual look and a statement look can give you much more variety for your website and marketing.

👉But here's the thing I really want you to know:
You don't have to have all of this figured out before you book your branding session.

Shopping for senior boy outfits shouldn’t require a minor miracle. 😂
(Boy moms, you know what I mean.)
“Do you have anything besides that hoodie?”
