Okay, I have to share this because my heart is so full... my full sessions for the rest of the year are officially fully booked. 🤍

I won't lie, my heart is so happy seeing my calendar fill up with families ready to slow down and be seen this season. But if you've been waiting for the right moment to grab a spot with me, here it is. ↓

My mini sessions still have a few openings, but they're going quickly. These are quick, low-pressure, and made for exactly the season you're in right now: toddler wiggles, dad's tie still crooked, everyone a little frazzled and completely perfect.

If this has been on your heart, don't wait for "the right time." This is the right time.

A question for my fellow moms: How many photos are you actually in?

"Maybe I'll just get the kids in most of them."

I understand it. I've said it myself. But I want to gently push back.

You don't need to lose weight, get a tan, or wait until the house is calmer.

You are the mom in these photos. Your kids don't see the things you're worried about when they look at you. They see the person who kisses the scraped knees and knows exactly how they like their toast.

My job is to help you see yourself the way they already do.

What we're making, in the end, isn't a set of pretty pictures to post and forget. It's a record of presence. Proof that in this fast, loud, laundry-piled season of raising small humans, you stopped for one golden evening and let yourselves be seen. Together, close, exactly as you are.

Because this little family of yours? That's your legacy. And it's worth remembering.

When's the last time you looked at the photos on your walls and realized everyone in them has different hair now?

Fresh walls have a way of making you notice that the pictures hanging on them are two haircuts and one whole personality out of date.

We started on the steps at Gorgas Library, then caught golden hour at the Riverwalk. Asher is five, Irelia is three, and both of them brought me the most committed funny faces I've seen in a while.

But my favorite frames were Beth and Jodell looking at each other with that expression every parent gives their partner that means "these are the ones we made."

Beth also came prepared with gummies. I fully endorse this and wrote a whole section about it, plus what I actually do when a mom is nervous.

Because almost everyone is at the start, and that's not a flaw in you.

Most people wait until October. Here's why I'd nudge you toward September instead.

By the time October arrives, there's fall break, football Saturdays, class parties, and then somehow it's Thanksgiving.

The light is warm and low by early evening. The heat has eased up just enough that nobody's melting. And your kids are still settling into the new school year, which means the newness of who they're becoming is right there on their faces.

A full session gives us time and flexibility on location. If there's a spot that means something to your family, we can shoot there instead of somewhere generic.

You don't have to decide everything today. Just tell me a little about your family and what you're hoping for, and I'll walk you through the rest. Dates, what to wear, all of it.

I still have some availability for September if you are looking to get family photos done before all the fall activities and holidays are in full swing.

Do you remember how small their feet were?

Not the milestone. Not the outfit. The The crease behind a knee, the way they tucked their legs up like they were still curled inside you. The chubby chin.

This is why I photograph the details. Because one day, these babyhood details will be gone as they grown into toddlerhood, then childhood.
