The best family sessions are the ones that feel like ordinary moments. 🤍

My recent family sessions have been such a beautiful reminder of how much Jesus loves us. And to have been able to experience these moments alongside these families has brought me nothing but pure joy.

Before my most recent family sessions, I wrote a journal that has stayed with me. A piece of this journal says:

“So yes, Jesus died for our sins. But I think we sometimes leave out the fuller meaning of that… He died after spending His life teaching us how to love. He died showing us how to love loudly, courageously, and without conditions, even when the world around us tells us there is another way.”

“Maybe that is the greatest love story of all time. Not simply that He died for us, but that He LIVED for us. Taught us, stood for us, loved us, and ultimately gave everything for us. And continues to.”

He LIVED for us.

These sessions brought those words back to mind because all I could see was a reflection of Jesus’s love for us. The kind of love we are called to give, especially as parents. Loud. Unconditional. Courageous. A love that doesn’t just say, “I’ll die for you,” but says, “I’ll LIVE for you.”

A love that shows up in the ordinary moments. In the little things. In the choosing, the teaching, the comforting, the laughter, and the everyday decision to love again and again. And that love is reflected so beautifully in these sessions.

Thank you Jesus for the reminders of Your love and for allowing me to see glimpses of Your heart through my work and through the people I am so grateful to capture. 🤍

A new addition is on the way to a family that is near and dear to my heart🤍

So thankful for this little family and my lifelong friend. As a creative, I’ve had the privilege of documenting some of life’s biggest milestones for them—from 1st birthdays to wedding days and now this pregnancy announcement. But getting to be Joeli’s friend through all the moments before and in between is what makes these moments I capture even more special. It’s something I’ll always cherish.

This season is extra sweet, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead🎀✨

Get to know me ✨

I’m Marlie, a 25 year old wife and mom of 2. I offer photography and videography, serving Georgia and beyond. I love spending time with family, traveling, and eating good. I love love and having opportunities to create and highlight the beauty that’s already there.

I think that’s one of the biggest things this work has taught me, to slow down and really see people. To notice the little things, the details, the moments that can so easily be overlooked. God is so intentional with His creation. Every detail. Every person. Every story. The way He sees and has created people with such care and purpose has changed the way I see them too.

Because of that, creating has become more than just taking pretty pictures or making a video for me. Every time I create, I’m reminded that this work is less about me and more about reflecting something greater. I feel so blessed to have a calling that allows me to capture people, their stories, their love, and the beauty God has already placed in their lives.

Psalm 139:14 is a constant reminder of why I do what I do and has been a verse that has held me in my business and in this season of life. We are wonderfully made, we are created with purpose and I want my work to help people see that in themselves and in the moments that matter most.

✨A little life + business update ✨

As most of you know, the newest addition to our family will be making his arrival in October🤍

With that being said, I’ll be taking maternity leave beginning in October. If you’ve been thinking about booking a session, please go ahead and reach out soon, as my availability for September is already limited!

During maternity leave, I plan to take some much needed time to slow down, heal, and soak up all the newborn snuggles, sweet moments, and time with my family.

I’ll slowly begin accepting a limited number of bookings again in December, with plans to be fully back to business in January. I already have a few December sessions on the books, so if you’re interested in a December session or Christmas Minis, please reach out as soon as possible to guarantee your spot. Availability will be very limited!

While I’m on maternity leave, my response times may be a little slower than usual, so I truly appreciate your patience and understanding as I navigate this new season with our growing family. 🥹
