Happy first day of the "ber" months!

Sharing some pretty film scans and a little vent.

I have been in such a funk with posting on Instagram lately. I have never been great with posting consistently and sometimes the pressure to constantly be showing up on this platform is overwhelming and makes me avoid it all together. I liked when we could just post a pretty photo of a recent shoot and move along with our day! Now there is the need for engaging captions, virality, trends. One day its carousels, the next it's 10 second catchy reels. It's exhausting, and so hard not to play the comparison game when other people seem to be thriving in this area! Lately I've been seeing lots of posts with similar sentiments so it's nice to know I am not alone!

Having a creative business when you are so emotionally tied to your work and when it is so personal is not for the faint of heart! Anyway, I am going to try and show up more, but also not beat myself up over it when I just don't feel like it!

I'm just slightly obsessed with Gracee's color choices for her bridesmaids dresses. They all photographed so well together in many different lighting situations.

With back to back weddings the entire month of May I have pretty much been non-stop editing. I can't wait to deliver these gorgeous galleries to my couples over the next few weeks!

Because we had only a few short minutes for sunset portraits during Alessandra and Louis' wedding Beckie and I worked quickly to get multiple angles and shots. This is just one reason I love having a second photographer with me on a wedding day! We can shoot the same pose and location from different creative perspectives.
Side note:; I am devastated is moving to New Zealand. This was our last wedding together!
