Added TWO more weddings to my calendar this week, so I figured it was time for a little availability update!šŸ«¶šŸ«¶

I officially have ONE Saturday left for 2026 before I close out my Saturday availability for the year! Iā€™ll also be sharing my remaining weekday + Sunday availability soon for seniors & families.

Honestly, Iā€™m just really grateful. A couple months ago, my fall calendar was looking pretty quiet, and I definitely went through a little slump of questioning whether I was doing enough or if things were going to pick back up.

And nowā€¦ here we are. šŸ„¹

Getting to watch this calendar fill up with people I genuinely adore is something I donā€™t take for granted.

Now Iā€™m just over here counting down the days until FALL PHOTO SEASON. šŸ˜†šŸ‚

Booking your wedding photographer is about SO much more than finding someone whose photos you love. Here are a few things Iā€™d keep in mind before making it officialšŸ‘‰

1. Definitely helps to start here first before booking your photographer so they can know if their available šŸ«¶

2. Instagram is a great place to get a feel for someoneā€™s work, but youā€™re seeing their highlights. Check out any portfolios, blogs, and more of their work besides the Instagram grid. Make sure you see work in low light settings, harsh light, indoors and outdoors, etc.!

3. Light and airy, true to color, earthy, dark and moody, film-inspiredā€¦ every photographer has their own style. Choose someone whose work you genuinely love because your gallery should feel like YOU.

4. Seriously, this one is worth repeating. A full gallery lets you see how they handle different lighting, family photos, details, candid moments, reception photos, and everything in between.

5. Your photographer is going to be around for a LOT of your wedding day. Communication, your whole experience from contact to delivery, organization, personality, and how comfortable you feel with them matter just as much as the photos!

Yā€™all know I say it a LOT, ā€œthereā€™s so much more to me being your photographer than just taking photos.ā€

But what do I actually mean by that?

I genuinely LOVE serving my couples. I keep safety pins and Tide remover in my camera bag for little emergencies, Iā€™ve inserted more veils than I can count, bustled manyyyy dresses, and Iā€™ll always be there to help however I can.

Because the less stressed you are, the more you can be present and enjoy your day. And when youā€™re fully in the moment, thatā€™s when we get the BEST photos. šŸ˜œ

Proof that micro-weddings & elopements are worth your whilešŸ«¶

Shana & Morgan were one of my fave wedding days this summer. We spent a full hour of intentional posing and prompts to celebrate their wedding day followed my a very intimate ceremony at Chapel of Memories and family and friend portrait coverage after ceremony.

One perk of this type of wedding day is you really get to spend a lot of time just you and your partner soaking up each otherā€™s love.
