My friend .graham.studios said it best - surrounding yourself with other creatives is one of the best parts of this job. I love seeing how artists think, why they make certain choices, from the tools they use to the color choices to wanting to know the maximum height of the scissor lift. My old friend Graham and new friend have been hard at work on an incredible new mural in downtown New Albany, MS and I’m glad I got to be around them, ask questions, and soak it all in. Taylor & Krissy’s wedding day in the Arizona desert was nothing short of perfect. I have been lucky enough to shoot a few weddings out here, and every time, I fall more in love with it. Already wishing I could go back.

Some of our best friends Molly and Nate Perkins, and their sweet daughter Cory have experienced unimaginable loss as the California wildfires destroyed their home and everything in it. Molly and Nate, who some of you know as longtime Tupelo natives, had poured years of hard work and love into renovating their first home together, only to lose it in a matter of moments.

Early in the morning, while they were asleep, embers from a nearby fire reached their Altadena neighborhood. Thanks to their incredible neighbors, who risked their own safety to wake them, they were able to escape with their lives, but with little else—just one car, a few days’ worth of clothes, and important documents.

I’ve seen many people posting asking how you can help. The best way right now is by contributing to their GoFundMe or sending financial support via Venmo so they don’t have to keep up with physical cards/things while figuring out their situation. Every little bit will go a long way in helping them rebuild and recover from this devastating loss.

It’s that time of year again and incase you need a little coffee to get you through it, my 10th annual coffee giveaway has arrived (a little later than normal). This year and my friends at in Tupelo have a $100 gift card at the counter that anyone is free to use. No hoops, no shares, the end. Just go enjoy a cup of coffee on me.

PS full disclosure this was supposed to happen BEFORE Christmas but dad life and the blur of the holidays I missed my timing… Just tell the barista at the counter about this post. They know what’s happening and don’t forget to tip them. ⁣
