To get authentic moments in short documentary sessions, I ask a lot about your routine and what you typically do around the time of our session. Knowing your flow allows me to blend right into the action.

I love finding creative perspectives that will get the entire family in the frame.

Even documentary photographers will get a family portrait of you all looking at the camera.

But how many photographers will lay on the ground while you push your kids on swings over their head?

My job is fun, and so are the sessions. I understand not everyone is built to stand for 20 minutes in a set.

Play based sessions are a go to for me. It’s like my way of blending a lifestyle session with the hands off approach of my documentary sessions.

It’s not because I don’t love the photos! Or I’m not proud of them! I absolutely am and they are beautiful.

You hire me to come into your homes and document this intimate stage in your lives.

That kind of trust comes with vulnerability. And vulnerability deserves the right to privacy.

I absolutely love when you let me share your session images. But it’s more than ok to want to go faceless or choose a private gallery with me. (Also faceless is kinda my thing so I got you. 😉)

I don’t charge more for extended family sessions.

Why?

Because I’m really in it for all the expressions. 💁‍♀️

But truly, more people means more connections, more things going on, funny moments, sweet moments, and just a great time.

It probably stems from having a big family myself, and it’s definitely one of my favorite parts about photographing a wedding.

I used to think it was just because everything was pretty. Nope. It’s all the family love and chaos.

This is what a typical branding photography session would look like coming from me. In your workspace, showing what you do, and who you are behind the scenes.
On this day took us through several of the different processes to his custom leather business.

He shared his inspirations, his process, and his goals as an artist. Everything was unique to him.
