I'm 90% certain that this is a young Cooper's Hawk. There is a pair of them that have been playing around on my property for the last several months now. I have spent at least the last two months trying to capture decent photos of them. This morning I heard them rustling around screeching in my brush pile from the recent storm and cracked the back door and took these photos out from between the crack. Unfortunately I still managed to spook one of the two and didn't get a chance to get photos of them wrestling. They're awfully skittish fellas.
