I’m constantly seeing so many questions around elopements. While they do have intricate parts to plan, I feel it’s one of those things people tend to overthink due to feeling the pressure to stick to tradition. But in reality, elopements are simpler than you may think.

And as a photographer who has been in the wedding industry for 5 years, I can confidently say that if eloping is something you feel is best for you… you should DO IT!!

I’m making the transition out of photographing big weddings and into only taking on elopements. I’m here to not only photograph the day, but help you plan and feel confident in what you plan for yourself.

Hiiii!! I’m Sam and I’m your photographer! 🤪

I am the actual worst at posting consistently on social media. I’ll go through phases of posting nonstop then just fall off the face of the earth. Oops. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just have so many creative ideas and idk where to start sometimes! Sheesh!

Also I have so many beautiful clients to show off and it’s hard to pick which photos to showcase 🥲

But I can tell you this…

Anywho. Can we believe the year is almost over!?!? We are to the “ber” months which means fall photo season is in full swing!! (Even though it’s still nearly 100° every day in Oklahoma like what even is this?!)

Fall sunset photo sessions are open for booking! Doing it a little different this year. 4 location options, 3 pricing/time options. As long as it’s a sunset date I’m not already booked, that date is open. 😘

For weddings & elopements…

I’m booking full or micro weddings through April 2027. Books for elopements are open through December 2028! All packages currently come with a one hour complimentary engagement session to give us the chance to work together before your big day!!

I think most of you know by now but just in case…

I’m back to doing photography!!!

After a much needed break, I am stepping back into running my business and I can’t wait to get back into it with fresh vision and passion for it!! 🥰

Working with couples and weddings has been the bulk of my work for some time now. Moving forward, I’m still taking on work in those areas with a focus more on elopements and smaller weddings.

But I am also wanting to add on more work with small businesses! Coffee shops, boutiques, tattoo artists, etc.

AND we are coming up on fall and holiday season… so family photos are in full swing too!!

Gracie is the SWEETEST! Absolute honor to have worked with her yesterday!

One of my favorite parts of photography? The people it brings into my life. 🫶✨

For most weddings, I bring along a second shooter to help capture different angles and moments throughout the day. Yesterday, Sam Wheeler Photography was my second shooter, and she was an absolute gem.

We met in the parking lot right before walking into the wedding, started chatting immediately, and spent the next 8 hours working together to create fun shots, throwing around creative ideas, and documenting the sweetest day for the Broaduses.

The wedding was beautiful, the reception was a blast, AND I left with a new photographer friend. 💕📸

The older I get, the more I realize that love is one of the bravest things we do.

In a world that changes constantly, choosing one person and saying “I’m all in” is kind of… insanely courageous.

Maybe that’s why I love destination elopements so much.

They aren’t about escaping. They’re about intention… Standing at the edge of a cliff, on a windswept coastline, or beneath a sky you’ve never seen before and making a vow to choose each other every day.

No matter where life takes you next.
No matter what comes.

Just two people making a promise in a place they’ll never forget. 🥲🖤

Fun fact: this was actually an engagement session. But my goodness, does it not feel like a dang movie!?
