When community comes together..... growing up in a small coastal town myself, the community is one of the things I vividly remember. When they say it takes a village, I can relate. All the families on the street I grew up on looked out for one another and really TRULY felt like one extended family. I lived on that street from 3 years old until 23 years old. The friendships I made are life long ones. I could go on and on about it with a huge smile on my face. But instead, I wrote a book to honor those people. Of course my book is fiction, but the personalities shine through in each character.
In a small coastal town, no one builds alone.
When life changes, when loss brings you back home… it’s the people beside you who help you rebuild—piece by piece.

So most of you know I sold my studio in December and retired from photography. Here’s my latest project!

What started as an idea turned into a story about family, legacy, love, and the power of community—set in a place that feels as real to me as home itself: Merritt Island, Florida, where I grew up.
There were so many moments while writing this that made me reflect, smile, and even tear up… and I hope it does the same for you.

I was very saddened to hear that one of the great men who have been Santa at my studio passed away this year - this particular man was a giant of men and the kindest person. I hope his family takes comfort in seeing him here, doing what he loved so much - bringing joy to little children as Santa.
