It’s easy to share your life on social media when you feel like everything is good.
But what about when there are parts you are struggling to be content with?
We miss the country. We miss the quiet, the space, the peace, the animals…
Honestly - I miss feeling like the “homeschool, homesteading, single mom boss babe.” I’m realizing I had a good chunk of my identity wrapped up in that.
This has been a big season of adjustment for us.
I’m so thankful for the time we had where we were, and I’m also learning to find the good in this new season. God is gentling reminding me that my worth and identity is always and forever in Him.
School has been amazing for all of us, the drive is much closer, and I didn’t realize how wonderful and character-building sports would be for my kids.
The support I have now helps to confirm for me that we are in the right place. And until we find a country home again, we will learn to be thankful for the space we have.
We will discover peace in other ways that aren’t in our backyard. (And we did add another puppy to the mix to make up for the chickens and cats we had to re-home.😉)
If you find yourself in a situation different than what you had dreamed, just know that everything is only for a season. Some seasons just look a little different - some are for learning, trusting, and growing, and at the end- you’ll be stronger and see more clearly than you did before.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”— Isaiah 26:3
