“Prey” A bee caught, killed and slowly being eaten by an ambush bug. After work I spent some time along a fence with a vine with sweet smelling flowers just beginning to bloom. When I found this murderous scene. I thought the bee had been infected by a fungus, but it turned out to be a crime scene instead. There also was a little tag along, a freeloader fly, taking advantage of the situation. Update on the information in the text of this post curtesy of a comment from BlueSky, thanks 🙏🏼
