“Observe, Be astonished, Wonder!” Just a few of the words spoken over me when I gave my life to Jesus, and I find myself living them in every way. To be honest, visiting the Dolomites and hiking Seceda brought me to tears many times, not just because I was utterly amazed by the views, but because where I am today, who I am today, and the life I get to experience is a complete miracle in which I give all the glory to God. You see, when you surrender your life to God, the unexpected happens. Things get harder, yet more purposeful. The path He takes you on sharpens you, and you become a more honorable and courageous person—the one He always intended for you to be. Your life has value, impact, and importance as you step into the role he created you to play in this story of humanity. As I ascended this mountain, I saw a life-size statue of my savior on the cross—and it hit me. The most pure feeling of gratefulness I’ve ever experienced… not because I was in a place I always dreamed of being, but because I have the privilege of knowing the one who created it. He gave his life for me and chose me to know Him.. how is this possible? Yet, He did the same for you. If this post shows you anything, I hope that it’s that you are loved beyond measure by the creator of the universe, and just as He shaped these epic landscapes, he can shape your life into something beyond your imagination. This life He gives we all strive to find on our own, yet continue to feel empty. How can we find this life? Simply give yourself to Him wholeheartedly.
