I always wonder which photograph will become your favorite.

Will it be the classic wedding portrait you’ll frame in your home? The one where everyone is looking and everything is exactly as it should be?

Or will it be the one we dreamed up together? The weird angle. The movement. The photograph that happened because you trusted me enough to try something.

Or maybe it’ll be something neither of us planned at all.

That’s what I love about wedding photography. I adore the photographs we know we need to make, but I also want the freedom to notice, play and create something that could only belong to your wedding.

So now I’m curious. What do you think your favorite wedding photograph will feel like?

The invitation suite tells me where the wedding is going. Then I get to build the world around it. 💙

Amanda + Arsmith’s custom stationery by Heirloom Invitations & Gifts was already incredibly beautiful. The blue toile, custom monogram, envelope liners and elegant typography gave me so much to work with that I wanted the photographs to feel like an extension of the suite itself.

So I painted a backdrop. I pulled flowers in colors that would play against all that blue. I gathered their rings and details and started building.

This is one of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding. Taking the things my couples so intentionally chose and finding a way to photograph them that feels completely their own. Not the same flat lay I photographed last weekend. Not a formula. Something created for this wedding.

Because the details deserve to become part of the history too.

Virginia House already feels like stepping into another time, but put a Monique Lhuillier floral gown against all that old stone and greenery and I’m basically done for.

This is the kind of wedding photography I’ll always be drawn to. Beautiful fashion, incredible architecture and photographs that feel editorial without turning the people in them into models. I want the dress to have its moment. I want the location to become part of the story. But more than anything, I want you to still recognize yourselves in every photograph.

A little editorial, a lot romantic, and still completely them. Exactly how I like it. 🤍

Hannah and Ben’s wedding felt like such a beautiful reflection of who they are. It was a perfect summer wedding!

These two have already loved each other for longer than most couples their age, and there’s something so sweet about watching two people who have essentially grown up together choose each other again in front of everyone they love.

They handmade the cross for the Ceremony. Their grandmothers were their flower girls. Their grandfathers signed their marriage license as witnesses. 🥹 Every part of the day felt rooted in family, faith, history and the life they’re building together.

And then there was the celebration. The kind where you end the night being carried across the dance floor by your favorite people. 😂

Hannah and Ben, what a joy it was to preserve this chapter for you. 🤍

There was something really special about these private vows 🥹

We stepped away so Alejandra and Matt could have a few quiet minutes beneath their chuppah before the ceremony began. They laughed, cried, hugged each other, and for a little while the wedding day stood still.

Afterward, Alejandra told me the fabric above them was her dad’s tallit 🥹

I got chills. I couldn’t stop thinking about everywhere that tallit had been before this moment… and now it was part of this one too.

What an incredible way to begin a marriage.
