There is something almost magical about standing beneath the Milky Way and realizing that the glowing band stretching across the sky is actually our home. Billions of stars, dust, and distant worlds woven together into one breathtaking tapestry. It feels like the universe is putting on a show just for us, reminding us how small we are while somehow making us feel connected to something unimaginably vast. For a moment, everything else fades away, and you're simply standing beneath the stars, looking into infinity and feeling the quiet wonder of it all.

My first hyperlapse TEST run. I had never really played around with this setting before and really enjoyed it! I picked the pole as a focal point and messed with settings just to see what it would even look like. I didnt expect this good of a turn out! Next time I know exactly what settings to use for a perfect shot of the Milky Way moving in the sky, without a pole 😆
Enjoy my little test run.
Side note, you can see some planes but also a good amount of meteors. This was shot last night during the peak of the perseids. I counted 31 meteors in a span of 3 hours. Darker skies would have yielded more but still happy!

Had a fun time at Lake Stanley Draper hunting rose rocks! Definitely need to go back when the water is lower but managed...
