A week ago Friday, I sat on the front porch and photographed a few images of these beautiful, fast, tiny hummingbirds. It's a fun challenge trying to capture them as they fly around so swiftly. The following Monday, I opened the front door to show my grandson the birds only to find honey bees swarming the hummingbird feeder. Later that evening, I moved the feeder to the back yard and luckily the bees end up leaving. Sunday, I decided to set up my lawn chair in the shade, even though it was hot, and I captured a few more photographs in the back yard. I really wished I had a lens that would reach out and touch their beaks. Hope you enjoy the images.

Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful young lady and her handsome boyfriend for their 8th grade Prom Dance. Of course, it started raining just a few minutes before the session began and The University of the South is a very popular place on prom day.
I can't wait to photograph them again, thank you Avaley & Kyler.

Last Saturday evening, I met a few Southern Divas at Oasis Steakhouse for a impromptu meeting with a new member. It just so happened that Escape Band was playing, and my camera had to go with me.
I enjoyed taking pictures of them due to their high energy and dancing vibes. Sometimes that can be a problem, it's hard to hold the camera steady while dancing and clicking that shutter button. Haha!
It was also nice for them to allow me on stage to get pictures of the drummer. Those poor guys rarely get their picture taken because they're hidden.
If you ever get a chance to see an exciting energetic, dancing type band then you must go see Escape Band.
