🌼An UNCONVENTIONAL "Mommy & Me" session I didn't even know I NEEDED! {Shot by my 8-year-old!}
Yesterday I had every intention of going to the park to play & shoot with the girls! But it was a little too warm and we ended up stumbling in the backyard all dolled up (cause mommy got to SHOWER 🧖‍♀️🚿 + put makeup on!) Instead. I've been needing some new headshots so I handed my a7iii to my 8-year-old and said "GET CREATIVE" It will make you feel better!! Not only did it make her feel better - but she was beaming from ear to ear - exploding with pride! And I - in return - FELT BETTER - and was exploding with PRIDE!! We've been having harder weeks - where we're experiencing some GROWING PAINS (growin up is hard, isn't it?!) But in this moment we both felt FREE to CREATE and BE anything in that moment. We let our guard down, relaxed, and just felt in the moment. Not tampering with it. Not trying to make it perfect. We were just there. With one another. Making memories & learning life's lessons!!

🌼GROWING - like where the flowers bloom - I’ve always found peace among the wild🌼
Im kinda doing a thing - bear with me as I finesse the process. But I've been asking myself a lot lately (and I'm wondering if you have been too) "where am I going" or "what's my plan"?? - I seem to ask myself this question daily. As I navigate thru this interesting time - I am constantly asking myself - WHO AM I - In each role I play?! It seems like a constant battle as of late - but I'm determined to work thru it - especially as an artist (a Mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a business owner, etc). I've kinda figured out a bit of formula that has kept me grounded, on track, and seeing a bit into the future, but it has also allowed me to continue to search and find answers about myself and what I want and expect from my life - my art - & my passions. If you've been asking yourself these questions lately - YAY! It means you're putting in the work to do and be GREAT THINGS!
