Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a rare, serious autoimmune disorder where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own peripheral nerves. This nerve damage causes rapid muscle weakness, numbness, and tingling—often starting in the legs and spreading upward—and requires immediate emergency medical care.

My brother-in-law is scheduled to come home Monday! But he needs all kinds of therapy and medical devices.
Any help is so appreciated!!!
The Sea Turtle is the mascot for this terrible syndrome. That's because the recovery has to be slow and steady!

While I've been going through my own medical challenges this past year my Brother-in-law has been suffering excruciating pain from Guillain-Barré Syndrome for the last 85 days. It attracts the nerves and basically paralyzed him. Most of this time has been in the hospital. He is now in an acute rehab facility. They are self pay with the assistance from a Christian membership reimbursement plan. But there is a limit to how long they will pay the $2,300 a day fee. He is not able to mobilize himself at all. If you read her story here on their GoFundMe page you'll understand more. I had never heard about this awful syndrome before. If you can help even just a little it would be much appreciated! 🩷🩷🩷
