More adventures is Snow Canyon! We rented e-bikes and did a short hike through the petrified sand dunes, where you follow metal dome trail markers through the rock to incredible views!

West Glacier National Park! LOVE!!! This was the start of our glamping experience! 10 out of 10 recommended! We had a blast at Under Canvas® Glacier Came back from hiking to a warm camp fire, unlimited, s’mores, a yummy little walk up restaurant and a king size bed all to ourselves! It was heaven!! They even had a guitar that anyone could grab in the main tent with free hot drinks open 24hr! Josh swiped that guitar every night to play for us by the fire, while the kids all sang along!
The west side of Glacier is the most kid friendly with tons to do and good places to eat. Lake McDonald is unreal with its turquoise waters. Favorite hike of the trip, Avalanche Lake Hike. It was 4.5 miles round trip and half way through it dropped us right onto a breathtaking lake nestled between snow capped mountains. When the sun came out and mirrored the mountains above it, it was incredible! Overall we had a blast! Thank you Mackelprangs for inviting us and for some sweet memories! Love you guys! East Glacier National Park! Thoughts… I need to go back and give it another go!
Highlights: Got a pic of some wild goats butts, braved 14° weather and rain, slept in a hotel room that looked like it could be in an oldie horror movie, attempted to go on a hike but was warned there was a bear on the trial so we turned around because every black shadow was a bear coming for us, went on a boat ride, went on a hike with adults only because the kids were too cold and wanted to stay in the car. Eventful, beautiful (no doubt), and grateful we had friends with us or our kids would have boycotted our need for adventure and begged us to go home!

Flathead Lake! A close tie with Lake Tahoe for the most beautiful! The rocks on the bottom of this lake are unreal! All my favorite colors scattered across the lake bottom! It was magical! Also, lady bugs everywhere along the shoreline. The lake was freezing but we were all determined to get in and do a polar bear plunge! We found a nearby lake that was a few degrees warmer and braved it!

Just got back from a week in Montana with the magnificent Mackelprangs!!! First stop was Missoula! I fell in love with this cutest town that is nestled between big, beautiful green rolling hills. We hit up church, strolled the downtown, played at the park, rode the carousel and stopped for ice cream! Next stop Glacier National Park! 🏔️Loni Mackelprang
