What up Dreamers! While the storms are resting I wanted to revisit this gorgeous storm I chased a couple weeks ago! This structure coming out of Lordsburg, New Mexico was insane as the outflows kicked up the dirt and a massive haboob formed shortly after this and chased me back into Arizona! Look at the lower left side and you can see the genesis of it! It was an epic day!

Dreamers! As you know this past week I spent co-hosting my first monsoon workshop! While on the chase my good friend said to me “Luck is when opportunity meets preparation”, and this will stick with me forever. I used to think I would just get lucky when capturing epic bolts, but I think what he was saying is working hard to accomplish your goals is not luck, it’s your hard work paying off!

Dreamer Gang! Yesterday I set out to chase the slight risk day in Southern AZ, and after just getting our asses kicked by monster downbursts and insane winds, a broken camera, and just being discouraged, we headed home for the night and then boom! The last storm of the night just after midnight started dropping monster bolts! I hurried to setup with some of the best friends a guy can ask for and bang! Suck it adversity!

Exciting news Dreamers! I’m co-hosting my first workshop this weekend, and I’m beyond excited! It’s one step closer to the dream!

In the meantime, here’s a shot of a UP Engine plowing into the haboob I chased and shot out on the NM/AZ border a couple weeks ago. Shortly after I shot this the train derailed. Everyone was okay though. Today is a slight risk in Southern AZ. Who knows, we might get one today. 😉

Dreamer Gang! Not every shot you shoot is gonna come out perfect! In fact sometimes even when you “miss” or mess up the shot they still come out pretty freaking amazing! Just missed the strike point of this shot, but it was dark and I was trying to adjust and find the horizon after lens swapping in the pitch black. Still a dope shot regardless of the miss!

Yo Dreamers! I was talking with multiple chasers this week across AZ, and I was honestly overwhelmed by what people said they think of me as a chaser:

“The ultimate hype man.”
“Top 10 chaser in AZ.”
“The funnest person to chase with.”
“Legend in the making.”
“A true inspiration.”

I’m not sure any of that is true, but knowing that’s how people see me touched my heart. ❤️ I’m just chasing my dreams and bringing other dreamers along for the journey!
