It’s easy to believe you’ll remember this season exactly as it is.

The way your child reaches for you without thinking.
The rhythm of your days.
Who you are, right now, within your family.

And for a while, you do.

But over time, the details soften. Not all at once, but gently. Quietly.
Until what once felt so vivid becomes harder to hold onto in the same way.

This is where photography is often misunderstood.

A final invitation and last call for our 8th annual Celebrate Motherhood Event.

Only a handful of sessions remain for Sunday, April 12.

Each spring, as the light softens and the desert begins to bloom, we find ourselves pausing.

I first photographed Jaimie and her daughter in 2021. Since then, we’ve come back together year after year for their annual motherhood and birthday sessions, each one adding another chapter to their story.

Nothing is over-planned.
No rigid posing.
Just presence.
Trust.
The gentle unfolding of who they are together.

It doesn’t need to be perfect. It simply needs to be honest.

Because what we are creating is more than a photograph. It is an heirloom.

Pieces that will live beyond this season of life, held, remembered, and rediscovered by the hands that come after yours. For your children, and one day, for theirs.

These architectural family portraits were full of energy, curiosity, and adventure, with an urban backdrop that perfectly matched the children’s playful spirit.

Over the past few years, we’ve had the honor of photographing Terri and the children during our annual Celebrate Motherhood Event, which made this session especially meaningful. It was their first family portrait session together with Fletcher and Co., marking a beautiful milestone in this season of life.

The children spent the afternoon exploring freely, collecting little flowers and sticks, climbing, running, and simply being themselves. The laughter and movement of childhood filled every corner, creating the kind of moments that can’t be posed or planned.

Childhood moves quickly, and it’s these in-between moments, the wandering, the discoveries, the quiet smiles with Mom and Dad, that become the most meaningful with time. Preserving them now allows these memories to grow richer with every passing year.

Landscape design photography in Tucson requires more than documenting a finished space, it requires an understanding of season, light, and intention.

This private mid‑century home in the Catalina Foothills was photographed in late fall, a deliberate choice made in collaboration with award-winning landscape architect designer Elizabeth Przygoda of Box Hill Design, to capture the landscape at its most expressive.

By waiting until November, when the desert light softens and Muhlenbergia capillaris grasses bloom in clouds of pink along the poolside, the final imagery reflects the landscape as it was designed to be experienced: complete, settled, and alive within its environment.

The 2025 Halloween costume photoshoot of our daughter, dressed as a Viking mountain explorer 🏹

When we asked over the summer what she would like to create this year, this was her idea and it did not disappoint. After watching the visually impressive live-action remake of “How to Train Your Dragon”, Astrid, who is a teen viking warrior that is smart, determined and has a strong personality, was our daughter’s Halloween costume inspiration.

So we began our research online for what a child viking could look like and we made our own version by sourcing clothing items from thrift stores and crafting with accessories we already had.

This is the tenth year that Nova has dressed up and along the way we’ve documented all these theatrical photoshoots with personalized locations. Most of her costumes are inspired by movies, shows or books we have all enjoyed together as a family.

This was our second time creating imagery up on Mount Lemmon for this annual series. The fall 🍃🍂 were just beginning to peek and we even discovered a field of autumn-toned ferns and enormous trees with moss on the bark.

While photographing April’s destination couples’ session, we also set out to create a new collection of lifestyle headshots for her upcoming website launch.

It had been over a decade since her last session with us. Those original branding portraits, taken in Phoenix, truly stood the test of time. But this season called for something new. Something that reflects who she is now: grounded, evolving, and fully present.

We photographed in two places that hold deep meaning for her. First, her Redondo Beach neighborhood. Rich wood, lush succulents, and coastal light gave us a palette that felt true to her current roots. Then, we reconnected in the Sonoran Desert, where the Mercado District neighborhood offered warm adobe walls, terracotta tones, and sculptural cacti.

Two vastly different regions, yet each telling part of the same story. A full-circle moment for an art director whose heart lives and creates in both places.

The Redondo Beach neighborhood and harbor filled with shades of aqua, white and sage was a personalized backdrop for April & Joe’s beachside morning session.

We strolled the walkways to some of their favorite modern and lush areas along with their beloved and curious pup, OB.

Portraits of furry family members are some of our absolute favorites. They bring such personality to a frame, as if they’re gazing straight into your soul… while also silently questioning why you’re holding a camera instead of a treat.

During a quiet moment in the backyard while we were photographing, a distant siren from an emergency vehicle echoed down the road. Almost instinctively, OB began to softly howl along. It was the gentlest, most endearing sound, and we were lucky enough to capture it on video. We later shared it with Joe and April as a small, unexpected keepsake from the day.
