✨ Exciting update! ✨ Over the last few weeks, Ive been working on refreshing my website and refining the photography services Arch Photography offers. I’ve updated a lot of content on my website lesliearchambault.com, but most importantly, now, when you visit my website, you will find a dedicated page for my Photo Services.
From e-commerce and creative product photography to conservation and visual storytelling for small businesses, I’m thrilled to officially share the ways Arch Photography can help businesses, other creatives, solopreneurs and organizations bring their content, products, listings and more to life with well crafted images. 📸. Check out the new Photo Services page by visiting the link in my profile.
Featured in this graphic that I made in is my beautiful friend Tracy who I captured during our photo shoot last year.

Anahata Nada - Unstruck Sound
While taking photos this past April for my Year by the River photo project, I spotted this snowy egret enjoying some “me time” by the water. No hunting for food, no noise—just the quiet ritual of preening those beautiful feathers in the sunshine. And then there was I, standing still in the leaves, no movement, no sound - just watching and photographing this graceful bird.
These sacred moments in nature carry their own peaceful music - no playlist is needed. Perhaps that’s why spending time in nature is like meditation: the stillness invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and to notice the small wonders we often overlook. The stillness allows us to tune into our heart 💚 chakra - the energy field of love, compassion and emotional balance.

Anahata Nada is a Sanskrit term meaning “unstruck sound”. It is an inner vibration or hum we can become aware of when we quiet our minds and tune into our hearts 💚. You might “hear” the quiet hum of Anahata Nada during meditation, while on a peaceful walk, or when we pause to observe something inspiring, like this snowy egret.

If you are like me, your head can be filled with lots of noise. I forget to tune into the quiet hum of the heart. Like your breath, your heart 💚 is with you always. Make time each day to connect with Anahata Nada—the gentle sound within—by pausing, breathing, and simply listening. Sometimes, the heart 💚 speaks more clearly than the mind.

I took this photo in March 2025 as part of my Year at the River photo project. This tree stands steady through every season because it has grown strong, supportive roots.

This week, I didn’t feel like that tree.

I felt… just BLAH.

Tired, foggy, unmotivated — and I let myself ruminate in those feelings.

I had planned to write about the root chakra and feeling grounded — but instead, I found myself exploring what to do when you don’t feel like doing anything at all.

— and that’s exactly what I wrote about.

If you’ve had a BLAH week too, this post is for you:
🫶🏼Gentle grounding ideas
✍️ Journal prompts
🌱 Reflections on the root chakra

Since 2025 first began, I’ve been quietly walking the Bronx River with my camera—letting nature teach me how to slow down, pay attention, and grow. I’ve started a photography project to document this river and its wildlife. The title is “A Year by the River”.

This is about conservation, yes, but it’s also about stillness, growing, and nature’s healing energy.

So I invite you to come “walk” the river with me. Photos for the months of January through April 2025 are up on my website. Link 🔗 in bio. Or if you want to type it in, see URL ⬇️

Nature can teach us that uniqueness and diversity are beautiful things that make ecosystems around the world thrive. Each leaf reflected in the water, every feather on the duck, and each ripple in the water are all different yet each have a special place in this world. So do you. I hope you feel Pride within your colorful, diverse and beautiful self.
To those celebrating PRIDE at the NYC Pride parade today, I wish you fun, freedom, safety and love! 🌈 💜🥰✌🏼💐🍍🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Fun fact: Photographed here is a female Mallard Duck. Male mallards are known to have s*xual relationships with other males. Female mallards have also been seen engaging in same s*x interactions.

Some spring blooms from my garden. I’m looking forward to the gifts my garden offers this summer. I’m trying to turn a small portion of my lawn into a meadow, with wildflowers and other plants that are native to my backyard. Pics of that coming soon!

I love walking along the Bronx River in the early spring to see what new life is beginning to emerge because even after the coldest months, life amazingly blooms again. 🌱 These first buds I share today were taken back in March just after the season turned from winter to spring. They are a reminder of new beginnings, growth and endless possibilities.

Yesterday was the perfect day. I had absolutely no responsibilities at all. My only goal was to stay home in my PJs all day. And that I did. I let the morning take me on a journey and followed my intuition. I began taking photos of a Turkish lamp that I made (insert other blog post here) back in Nov...

Time warp
I was inspired to take this photo while on my walk the other day. I found it ironic as I watched the elderly man dressed all in blue push his old man cart up out of the dark shadow of the shade into the shining light enveloping the part of the path where a young man was walking towards him, pushing a baby carriage. I wish I had a different lens on my camera when I took this shot and wish I took my time rather than rush it out of fear of getting caught taking these random peoples photos but i still like the story and wanted to share.
