Spirit in the Stone Photography Intuitive Family Photography, Capturing LOVE + PLAY in the Moment. Natural light + Studio Photographer in Danbury, CT. Hi!

I'm Alex :)

Thank you for visiting and taking a few minutes to explore my page. Most of my life, I have loved to look around my environment and imagine how it could live in a photo. My Grandmother Filomena constantly took pictures and placed a camera in my tiny hands a child. As I got older, I learned to honor treasured moments through photography. Candid moments and laughter are my specialty. My

experience with couples, families, and children allows me to create an intuitive, easy-going atmosphere. Your session with me will be thoughtful and relaxed. I live in Tuckahoe, NY with my husband, son, and two wild and crazy cats - keeping it weird :)

I look forward to connecting so I can hear more about your vision and how you would like to work together on your session!

Thank the Universe for making me your Mama. A huge bow to every Mom I have ever had through friendship, as a mentor, or perhaps as a lesson. You have all been my Mother. You prepared me for this momentous task. Thank the Gods for you all. ⁣

Sending love to every Mama today. You are seen and you are SO LOVED. ⁣

Lately we seem to have the unique opportunity to focus our intention on what might be our most favorite practices. Our passions. To love them and improve upon them. To perhaps find some new things that we love to do. ⁣

I was chatting with a friend in recovery today. He reminded me of the ‘promises’ laid out by a 12-step program that saved my life. I thought that they were so fitting to what we are all going through right now. I hope you enjoy. ⁣

The Promises⁣

If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are halfway through. ⁣
We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace. ⁣
No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others. That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. ⁣
Self-seeking will slip away. Our whole attitude and outlook on life will change. Fear of people and economic insecurity will leave us. We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. ⁣
We will suddenly realize that God (whomever or whatever you conceive God to be) is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves. ⁣
Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us - sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. ⁣
They will always materialize if we work for them. ⁣

Hope you’re all having the BEST day you can today. You’re doing great! Go easy. xx⁣

Immersed in a lot of reflective thinking lately - how far I’ve come over the years. I guess you could say I’m a late bloomer. I stumbled upon this “selfie” I took when I bought my first new dslr. Before that, I was still shooting with my Nikon D50. ⁣

It’s all about learning constantly. Never stop. My Grandmother used to say “the day I stop learning is the day I’m dead.” ⁣

How right she was. Keep moving. 🖤⁣

Spring she is a buzzin’ 🌸⁣

Let’s try to make the time to enjoy her as she makes her debut. ⁣

Nature is beautiful and when we spend time within its energy, we come closer to its healing. ⁣

I mean, who hasn’t felt better after rolling down a hill of green grass and dandelions?? ⁣

This lull of sometimes loud silence has allowed me to focus in on my creative desires. ⁣

I have been editing different images, playing with grain and color, and paying attention to what I truly L O V E in order to pursue it. To fine tune it. ⁣

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with drawing faces and the eyes were always my FAVORITE part of the face. If I knew then what I know now, it would make more sense. The eyes have it. They tell us so much about what may be inside the mind. This is why I am obsessed with portraits and always have been. ⁣

Capturing the juxtaposition of connection between people, within people, and in the world is my jam. I love contrast. And I love how there are no highlights without shadows…no dreamy warm earthy tones without the blue icy stillness of a good industrial cityscape edit. ⁣

I am enjoying the exploration into my art. I hope you are all doing the same, in your own way. ⁣
