These two were just pure happiness all day long. The giggles, the huge smiles, the way they kept looking at each other like, “We actually get to do this!” There was so much genuine excitement between them, and it was impossible not to smile right along with them.

The Barn at Ballard Creek, beautiful greens and whites, a STUNNING customized dress, and the whole day felt both incredibly romantic and completely joyful.

I shared their engagement photos yesterday morning, and now I get to share them as HUSBAND + WIFE. 🤍

Tonya + Jake, you two are just the sweetest. What a beautiful beginning to forever.

It’s Martin County Fair week!

I may not have my booth at the fair this year, but I still found a way to bring my camera. And I’m pretty sure this was even more fun.

Engagement photos don’t have to look like everyone else’s. They can feel like you.

And these two understood the assignment.

A pink dress. Carnival rides. Midway lights. Cotton candy. And somehow, even the SKY decided to coordinate. The perfect cotton-candy sunset to finish off the night.

This session was playful, colorful, romantic, and so much fun. I’m completely obsessed with what we created.

Your engagement session is a chance to do something that feels like you. Go somewhere you love. Wear the fun dress. Make a date out of it. Ride the rides. Eat the cotton candy. Let’s make photos that actually feel like a memory.

And now I’m even more excited to get these two in front of my camera again on their wedding day. 🤍

A little Martin County Fair update:

For the first time since 2019 (other than that weird 2020 year 😂), you won’t find a Jessica Sauck Photography booth at the fair this year!

I LOVE being at the fair and getting to see so many familiar faces come through my booth every year, but this season of life is just… full. Between sessions, weddings, 4-H, school starting, kids’ sports and all the other things that come with August, I finally had to admit that I just couldn’t give a fair booth the time and attention it deserves this year.

I’ll definitely miss being there!

But don’t worry- I’m still here, still photographing, and still very much in business! I’m just choosing to spend fair week running in approximately 47 other directions instead.

Have the BEST fair week, Martin County! I'll see you there, just not at my booth. 😉

There are moments when words simply aren’t enough.

Please pray for Jamie, her husband Jon, and their family as they walk through the unimaginable loss of their son, Leighton.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing their family a couple times over the years, and the deep love they have for one another has always been so evident. You could just see it in every joke, every laugh, every interaction. They are a family who loves fiercely.

Would you pray that God would surround them with His peace, His strength, and His presence in the days ahead? Pray for the comfort that only He can give.

Some wedding days just have a way of reminding you what it’s all about.
Sunshine on your shoulders. Happy tears. Belly laughs. Tight hugs. Friends who feel like family and family who celebrate with their whole hearts. And two of the kindest people promising forever.
Yesterday was pure joy from beginning to end, and I feel so grateful I was the one trusted to preserve it.
