Kind words from a stranger. I received this email below the other day.
Dear Paul,
I often buy greeting cards from Trader Joe’s in Charlotte and today I purchased this one to write a note to myself. If you look past the rocky shoals in the foreground, the island in the center has what looks like a triangular flag. In the night sky in the distance are clouds and stars. I’m assuming you know the picture. So beautiful.
I feel like I’m on an island most of the time. Trying to decide what my purpose is, why I am still here after having survived (literally) so much. But the flag is what anchors me to the here and now, it is not me. I am more like one of the stars in the distance. So says my Creator so it must be true.
So thank you for your art. I will keep it always to remind me of what is true and real.
