Last week it was sessions with Troy Athens, varsity sideline cheer and Rochester high school varsity boys soccer; now on my way to my first of two senior portrait sessions this evening. It’s been a busy past few days, but I am so incredibly grateful for all of the teams and families that are trusting me with these special moments! Can’t wait for you to see these photos.

I never thought that I would be behind the camera for my own child's senior portraits but here we are. While we were on vacation in SC we went down to the beach at sunset (spoiler, there was no sun) to grab some special photos of Emery. We made the best of the wind and the dense clouds and I know that i'm partial but it helps when your subject is effortlessly beautiful inside and out 🫶🏼

Shoutout to for being the best at holding a soft box on a stand in the wind! 😂 I'm still in shock that we have a senior!

I met up with Eliana and her mom for a senior portrait session and IT WAS AWESOME.

We started at the Romeo HS stadium to capture some special photos in the net and around the stadium before heading to Wolcott Mill Historic Village to take advantage of the old buildings, walkways, and the river. Eliana was super fun to hang with and she did such a great job! Hearing about students' HS experience and the dreams that they have is probably my favorite part (outside of helping mark this special milestone)!

I’ve had a lot of texts and DMs over the last couple of weeks asking about senior portraits for the Class of 2027, so I figured I’d share a quick update here.

The biggest question most parents are asking right now is: "When is the best time to book?"

My answer? Anytime is great, but it really comes down to the vibe your senior wants:

☀️ Late Summer: Perfect if you want to check it off the to-do list before the chaos of the school year, sports schedules, and senior events completely takes over.
🍁 Fall: The ultimate window if you want to take full advantage of the peak Michigan fall colors and cooler weather.
🌱 The "Both Ends" Option: I’m also going to be offering Spring Mini Sessions this year! This is a great way to get photos on both ends of senior year—capturing who they are at the start, and getting those fresh cap-and-gown or spring shots right in time for graduation.

No matter the season, my goal is always to ditch the stiff, cookie-cutter poses and create bold, high-energy images that actually reflect their personality and style.
