TODAY’S HALLOWEEN FUNDRAISERS CAME WITH BIRTHDAY BOYS! 🎂🐾

We had SO much fun at today’s Halloween photo fundraisers! We have THREE more events tomorrow because apparently I’ve decided sleep is optional in October.

But today, we need to interrupt the Halloween shenanigans to celebrate TWO very handsome birthday boys!

🎉 ROSCOE IS 11 TODAY! 🎉

Excuse me, SIR?! ELEVEN?! This adorable little Shih Tzu doesn’t look a day over 3. I would like to know his skincare routine, his diet, and whether he has a secret deal with the devil. Asking for a friend.

🎉 LOUIS IS 6! 🎉

And his humans came prepared with his own BIRTHDAY HAT! Because when you’re the birthday boy, you deserve to look ridiculous in public and have photographic evidence to prove it. Honestly, we should all be so lucky.

EVERYBODY STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING.

THIS BOY NEEDS BIRTHDAY WISHES!!!! He turned 15 years young today!!

This distinguished gentleman celebrated with his very own photo shoot this morning, surrounded by his favorite fwends, both the two-legged and four-legged variety. Basically, his own personal paparazzi situation.

FIFTEEN YEARS of being handsome, fabulous, and absolutely not taking questions from the press.

Please join me in wishing this very special dude a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Drop some birthday love for Jack. He may be 15, but he’s still accepting compliments, snacks, and unreasonable amounts of attention. (Same for me on the snacks buddy)

This 100% GOODEST BOY has reached the stage of life where he knows exactly what he wants.

A comfortable couch. Long walks. Car rides. Quality time with his favorite human. And absolutely no roommates of the furry variety.

Honestly? Relatable.

This handsome gentleman is looking for a home where he can be the one and only pet. No sharing his humans, no competing for attention, no awkward introductions at the family reunion. Just him, his person, and a whole lot of living left to do.

He isn't looking to climb the corporate ladder, start a side hustle, or train for a marathon. He wants to explore the world on walks, ride sh***un on adventures, supervise your errands, and spend his golden years knowing he's finally HOME.

And here's the part that gets me: He's sitting in a shelter when he should be someone's favorite reason to come home.

Senior dogs have so much love left to give. Chapo doesn't need a perfect person. He needs the RIGHT person. Someone who understands that the best adventures aren't always the biggest ones, and that having a loyal friend beside you makes even an ordinary Tuesday pretty special.

ALSO....... Who says boys can’t wear bling and pearls? Fabulous, and absolutely rocking his glimmer like he’s got a standing reservation at the VIP section.

🍁 Fall in Michigan is showing off, and honestly, we’re all a little obsessed.

This isn’t my usual fall photo, but yesterday the sunset was too good to waste. So we decided to push our session a little later, wait until the park was closing, and sneak in a few silhouettes. Because when Michigan gives you weather like THIS, you rearrange the plans and hope for the best. 😂

And that handsome dude you can barely see? He is quite possibly the happiest guy on the planet. He LOVES ALL PEOPLE. Like, has-never-met-a-stranger-and-would-probably-hug-the-entire-parking-lot kind of loves people. Which is exactly why he’s a therapy dog.

Between the golden leaves, those ridiculous sunsets, and temperatures that make you want to cancel every indoor plan you’ve ever made, Michigan is absolutely showing off right now.

Can we PLEASE keep this weather going through next week? I have a camera, a calendar full of dogs, and absolutely no interest in putting away my fall wardrobe just yet. 🍂

Millie’s Love Language Is Snacks, Couches, and You. Why Is She Still Single?

Four years old, easygoing, treat-motivated, and looking for someone to share a couch with. Honestly, Millie has her priorities straight.

This girl is not asking for much. She’s not training for a marathon. She’s not looking to summit Everest. She’s not interested in your 5 a.m. boot camp class. Millie would like a couch, some snacks, and a human who thinks she hung the moon. Same, Millie. Same.

She can be a little shy at first, but give her a few treats and a little time, and you’ll meet the sweet, loving girl who wants to stick by your side. She’d do well with a confident canine friend or as your one and only. Little kids make her nervous, so she’s looking for an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy kids.

And here’s the part that makes absolutely no sense: Millie has gone to shelter events, been the best girl, and STILL hasn’t found her people. What exactly are we doing here, humans?!

So....... Yoshi likes to play a little hard to get. He’s shy, a little cautious but much more confident when his favorite human is by his side. And honestly, can you blame him? Sometimes you just need your person. 🕶️

I’ll admit it. My fall schedule is a little crazy, but it’s crazy by design. I wanted to leave as much room as possible for these incredible fall days we’ve been having, and even in the middle of all the chaos, I’m so grateful for the days that bring me face-to-face with little guys like Yoshi. A new fwend.

Yoshi is having a bit of a tough year. He has cancer, but this stoic boy is handling his treatments like a champ. We’re hoping those treatments give him LOTS more time with his humans, filled with fun road trips, new places to explore, adventures to sniff out, and all the little moments that make life so wonderful.

So, friends, let’s rally around Yoshi! Send all the PAWS-itive vibes his way for healing, strength, and many more adventures. And please send extra thoughts of all the delicious snacks his heart desires, because if there’s one thing a boy going through a tough year deserves, it’s ALL THE SNACKS.

Here’s to more beautiful fall days, more adventures, and so much more time with the people who make him feel brave. Go, Yoshi, GO!

ALICE IS STILL WAITING FOR HER UNICORN. DOES YOUR WITCHCRAFT INCLUDE TURNING INTO HER PERSON? 🦄

Alice is 7 YO, 15.7 lbs, and has been waiting WAY too long for someone to say, “Yep, that’s my tiny, complicated soulmate.”

Her dream human? A single woman with NO male partner, NO cats, NO young children, and NO energetic dogs. Basically, Alice is looking for a quiet household with zero roommates, zero chaos, and excellent couch privileges.

Here’s the serious part: Alice has medical needs, including Cushing’s disease and arthritis, and she needs an experienced, patient person who understands that trust takes time. She can be reactive toward men and strangers, so her home needs to be carefully matched to her needs. Once she bonds with you, she’s a loyal little Velcro dog.

It’s never enough time. 💔 If love could save them, they would live forever.

Some losses hurt in a way that words can never fully explain, and this one hurts so deeply.

Mya, you were such a happy girl, and you brought so much love and joy to the people lucky enough to know you. We love you, sweet girl, and we miss you more than words can say. Our hearts are with your humans, especially Jenny, and your sister, Tilly, who are feeling the emptiness of a world that just isn’t the same without you.

As heartbreaking as it is to say goodbye, we are so grateful that you got to live such a beautiful life, surrounded by the love you deserved. Jenny gave you a life filled with happiness, comfort, and love, and that is such a precious gift.

We wish we could have had more time. A thousand more days. A million more moments. Just one more chance to see your happy face and remind you how loved you are.

Run free, sweet Mya. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be missed beyond words. You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. 🌈🐾💔
